BED STUY (WABC) -- Two police officers have been shot in Brooklyn.
Witnesses said they police officers were in their car when they were shot. Hundreds of police officers are on the scene.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting or where exactly it took place, but streets are shut down near Tompkins and Myrtle intersection avenues. Several surrounding streets are also blocked.
There is possible surveillance video of the suspect.
They were taken to Woodhull hospital.

This has now met the threshold of a sustained critical reaction. There is no return to any sense of social reasonableness for about a decade.

He came to NY from Brooklyn and was looking for a friend. He stoppped to ask the cops for directions and they pulled their guns. He was simply defending himself from an arrest for “existing while black”.
