The U.S. Army's report on Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will show he deserted, but not that he is a traitor, two military analysts familiar with the case told Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor."
The report was completed in October, but has yet to be released to the public. Bergdahl walked away from his base in Afghanistan and was captured and held by the Taliban for five years.
He was released earlier this year in a controversial trade for five Taliban leaders being held at the U.S. military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, who said he played a role in one of three methods the United States considered in bringing Bergdahl back, told Fox's Bill O'Reilly on Thursday he has heard the final report mirrors the initial Naval Criminal Investigative Service report from 2009, just after Bergdahl was taken captive.

It was an in-theater report back in 2009 and maybe the area/unit was under Navy command, so they brought in their own guys?

You have nothing to fear... if the report's released the butt kissers at the New York Times will say the report is 'boring'... ('Boring' is a dog whistle for 'it might hurt our guy') and they won't report on it....

Didn't Obama say the "torture report" on the CIA had to be released for transparency purposes? If the Bergdahl report isn't released, it will become even MORE obvious that 'transparency' wasn't the REAL reason the CIA report was released. We all know what the REAL reason was.. It was to HUMILIATE the United States on the world stage.

Heck, just charge him with desertion. I believe deserting in the face of the enemy is still a capital offense.

There is no way that Bergdahl sat and talked with his so called captors and was not killed or beheaded unless he provided information that killed other American troops as a minimum. In my opinion Bergdahl helped them daily to understand US radio calls, helped them figure out what the US troops were doing, etc. The bastard is and was a traitor.
