A handful of families impacted by the Sandy Hook school shooting have decided to ease their grief by suing the manufacturer of AR style rifles. Obviously, a little unnecessary litigation is the most effective way to right the wrongs of a madman. According to CNBC:
Ten families touched by the Newtown massacre filed a wrongful death lawsuit Monday against companies that made, distributed and sold the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle that Adam Lanza used to kill 20 children and six staffers at Sandy Hook Elementary two years ago. The suit argues that the gun is a military assault weapon that never should have been on the general market.

They should be suing the town for making the school a “gun-free” zone where the killer could have his way completely unimpeded.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
Since Lanza acquired this weapon by stealing it after murdering the owner, it’s pretty difficult to see what the company could have done to prevent this.
Given the scenario, it’s likely the death toll could have been achieved just as easily using high capacity handguns. But it must be admitted the AR15 is a very good tool for this particular job.
I’m suing Tupperware for making me fat.
Well, of course they think we should.
Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

This is CT. Any particular reason to think any of those teachers would have had a gun without this law?
I know he had an AR in his car but is it proven that he actually used the AR in the shooting?
Yeah, not a clever question at all. The answer is a no-brainer.
I thought he used a hand gun and a .232? Are they just making crap up? I still don’t buy that this actually happened. But I am not at home where I can get to my files on this.
Then they should also sue the state for violation of 2nd amendment rights to keep and bear arms.
Wouldn’t guarantee that any of the teachers would do that, but it should guarantee that they would not be prevented from doing so by force of law.
Need to sue the church leaders because they are in cahoots with God that made metals that can be made into guns.
My understanding is that most if not all of the victims were killed with the AR, while he shot himself with one of the two handguns he carried. The other was not fired.
Blame the fork and knife too.
They should sue the Government for collecting taxes on the sale of the rifle.
Should be suing the ATF or Pelosi, or Reid....they’re the ones that defined “assault/military” rifles.
He had handguns with him, and a shotgun in his car, and fired two shots from the Glock, one of which was his suicide shot.
AFAIK, the official report has all of the victims shot with the rifle.
“A large quantity of unused ammunition was recovered inside the school along with three semi-automatic firearms found with Lanza: a .223-caliber Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle, a 10mm Glock 20SF handgun, and a 9mm SIG Sauer P226 handgun.Outside the school, an Izhmash Saiga-12 shotgun was found in the car Lanza had driven.”
Frankly, had he killed a bus driver and taken a bus and kamizazied it through the hallways at the right time, he’d have done equal or worse damage.
Less than one mile from the shooting scene stands a long closed state mental health facility. Why wasn’t the kid identified early on ?
To put it charitably, in their grief these families have lost their sanity and are gullible to every leftist con-artist who uses them.
