The Capitol Hill switchboard has been overwhelmed by calls to Congress.
The 202 224-3121 number is jammed, likely by people protesting House Speaker John Boehner’s 2015 government funding bill, which allows funding for President Barack Obama’s unpopular decision to stop enforcing immigration law, and to award work-permits to at least 5 million illegal immigrants.
Boehner’s effort to fund the $1.1 trillion bill and amnesty is being backed by President Barack Obama, whose deputies are pushing Democrats to support Boehner’s bill.
The Daily Caller called the switchboard number at 3:28, and it was not answered for seven minutes. It is usually answered after a few seconds.
When quizzed by TheDC, the switchboard operator merely said “there is high call volume.” She declined to describe the level of calls. “My job is to answer and transfer,” she said.
TheDC called again at 3:50 and a second operator picked up the phone after nine minutes. When asked why there was a delay, the operator responded “apparently that is self-explanatory… there is more people in line than normal.”

You are one step ahead of me. I have been calling my Congressman’s direct office line - no answer, no voice mail, no nothing. They have turned turtle.

At least when I call the car dealership, I can listen to jazz. The IRS has classical music! Right now from the capitol it’s the sound of silence.

Ask them where they get the money to increase funding for education in this bill? Remind them we are trillions in debt. Tell them the money comes from us. Tell them to stop stealing the money from us.
It took fourteen minutes. They patched me immediately to the majority’s office without asking.

Kill the Continuing Resolution to fund the government till Sept. and place it with a short term bill when the new congress has been sworn in.

Ask them where they get a billion for foreigners: “The GOP’s draft 2015 “omnibus” spending bill reportedly includes $948 million to help poor and unskilled Central American migrants establish themselves in the United States, but includes no effective restrictions on President Barack Obama’s plan to provide work permits and tax payments to millions of resident illegal immigrants.” They steal it from the taxpayer.

That’s my sentiment exactly. Incidentally, Fleming voted for it too. If just one had stood, the bill would have been killed. Now, it is still in play.
Perhaps GOP will just let the courts decide the legality of Obamacare and Amnesty. Then what are our CongressCritters for? Cowards, ALL of them.

There IS? I can see a big promotion and pay raise in her future.. Probably working as a White House staffer next.
Voted for him as well. It’s interesting that we have to hope our side and the left like Elizabeth Warren can get this bill to fail.
