Cleveland killer officer shot to death 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was playing on a playground with a toy gun, no charges filed. Thirteen-year-old Andy Lopez Cruz was shot 7 times in 10 seconds by a California killer deputy early on a clear afternoon, he grand jury refused the case and the DA exonerated. Christopher Roupe, 17, was shot and killed after opening the door to a killer officer, mis-identified a remote control in Roupe’s hand' shot him in the chest with his Glock, at three ft. it exploded both the child's lungs.

And we’re to ignore the clear issues of cops that are quick to kill, and a system quick to let them? All because of this fear of the feds?
Sorry, but there have been a LOT of incidents that should NOT have happened. Yet the cops almost always walk. That can only be allowed to go so far. Cops watched the shooters in the Dorner hunt walk, after doing their best to kill 3 innocent people for no reason. That, and others, have sent a dangerous message to cops. “Screw up all you like.”
Mistakes happen, but cops need to learn that there are both limits to the number and types of mistakes we’ll accept before they have to answer for it. Otherwise, they’ll only get worse.
This is not something that can be ignored, simply for fear of the feds.
If someone levels what looks like a gun at you, you be brave and take the first bullet. I’m not asking any public servant to do the same.
You imply that the officers should allow the person to fire off a round(s), by your mention of return fire.

When I was a kid growing up in the San Fernando Valley 50 years ago, ANY COP that shot an Unarmed Person WENT TO JAIL for manslaughter. No If’s and’s or but’s it was over for them. they used to be held to a higher standard than us peasants, but that is when they were “Peace Officers” and before the Police State and the transformation into “Law Enforcement” officers.
The one world government folks want a World Police and the local police are playing right into their plans. All so they can get a Kevlar helmet and vest and a mrap and look tough.

Unless you now have an opinion that there exists some sort of proper police procedure that exists between 1) a remote-control drone strike; and 2) pulling up and shooting a 12-year old with a toy gun within 5 seconds?

Yeah, cause kids shouldn't be playing cops and robbers - they might get shot by a real cop.
Seriously, a 12 year old, like my son, gets shot for playing a game and you revel in it.
And maybe the kid was pulling it out to show it was
just a toy.Today we.have too many trigger happy cops and too many fools giving them free reign.

The thing that is really disturbing about some of you folks, is that you realize the police were called with a “person with a weapon” report.
You realize by now it is stated the kid pulled the object out of his pants as the police pulled up.
They exited the vehicle to confront him, and he pointed it at them.
So what part of the officers believing they were facing a serious threat do you not quite rasp?
This is one more in a series of stupid moves by members of the public that resulted in exactly what any honest evaluator would assume they would.
Suspect points what looks like a gun at officer. They opened fire. Gosh, what a surprise.
Now you’ll trot off to some other thread thinking this is one more incident that proves officers are out of control.
It isn’t. You don’t know it. That is a problem.
If I walk into an ambiguous situation and shoot someone who turns out to not really be a threat, I’m in major trouble.
Why should a less stringent standard be applied to cops?
This kid was not presenting as an unarmed kid.
I can tell you for certain that if you had pointed what looked like a gun at an officer 50 years ago, you would have moments later had extra holes in you.
If you encounter an "ambiguous" situation on the streets, you can just run away and keep your conscience clean.
Pretty sure you wouldn't voluntarily go to help out people at a Rec center in Cleveland who are calling about a little gangbanger in training.

Was there a drone here? No.
Was there a report of a person with a weapon? Yes.
Did the kid pull what looked like a gun out of his waist? Yes.
Did the officers observe the boy on the approach? Yes.
This didn’t merely happen in a second or two.
He faced the officer with what looked like a weapon.
Who is really to blame?
The stupid kid is.
He was waging a weapon near a playground.
Someone called in a person with a weapon report.
Officer approached the scene, seeing a kid on the sidewalk.
The kid withdrew what looked like a gun from his pants and pointed it at the officers.
You know, when you do that, you’ve just taken your life in your own hands, and handed it to someone else.
Bullets from a gun a 12 year old carries, will kill you just as certainly as the bullets from a gun a 52 year old person carries.
It’s a kid. You tell him to hand it over. You don’t shoot him.
Besides, this trigger happy officer has troubled history. We need officers and the majority of cops are good decent people with families just like you or I.
With that, folks that come out and defend poor behavior from officers no matter the circumstances are just plain misguided.
News Flash! There really are rogue cops walking the streets. There really are crooked cops on the take among the good officers. Hey, don't believe it...research Houston police department.
If you defend all cops no matter what, then the bad apples will never be culled.

What i saw was a mounted assualt. Done very nicely, if this was Iraq.
