Today, the most recognisable, feted, popular man on Planet Earth will bestride the White House like a colossus.
He'll pose for some photos in the Oval Office and probably crack a lame joke that leaves America's toughest political journalists guffawing sycophantic gales of fake laughter.
When he departs, President Obama will shake his hand and feel very grateful that he was able to bask, albeit briefly, in the reflected glow of his guest's beloved VIP wattage.
Tonight, the same celebrity icon will take his beautiful, equally famous wife to a basketball game in Brooklyn; the public will go crazy, while the notoriously sniffy New York media will pretend not to… and then go crazy, devouring the couple's every breathing moment like starving hyenas.
When this superstar couple leaves a few minutes before the end, Jay-Z and Beyonce will be left in their court-side seats wondering how on earth they can ever achieve the level of ecstatic frenzy they just witnessed.

Piers, we don’t love your Royals in the sense of wanting a monarchy. We love the British nation our steady ally in Peace and War and as such, respect your History and your unwritten constitution and common law from which much of our heritage sprung at is inception.
We Respect them. This word Respect, you as a leftist, can’t abide. The revolutionary zeal to destroy interferes with your ability to appreciate your heritage.
The problem is in your self-hatred, not in the US appreciation for our shared history and your nations’ worth.

We like them. Nice couple. That’s it. We tried royalty, that is the MSM tried to create one from the Kennedy’s but that didn’t work, then they moved on to the Clinton’s. When that went bust they now are trying it with the 0bama’s ... true they’re making him out to be the first American emperor but that will fail big time.

I get beat up for saying this but William & Kate are the dullest royals since Princess Anne. Give me the hardworking Queen and that gorgeous nutcase Diana anyday! And Piers is a piggy.
Well, okay.
The first day I’m king, this is what I’ll do:
1. Deport Piers Morgan and ban him from our country forever.
2. Disband our current government.
3. Move the capital to Omaha.
4. Abdicate to the American people.
We absolutely love British royals and are pretty darn fond of their aristocrats.
And we have no interest whatsoever in being governed by them.
