Boehner Poised to Deal With the Devil to Avoid Shut-Down?
Breitbart ^ | 2 Dec 2014, 6:59 PM PDT | Dan Riehl

Posted on 12/02/2014 8:51:08 PM PST by SoConPubbie

With House conservatives wanting to keep the pressure on Barack Obama given his end run of the political process when it comes to illegal immigration, reports indicate Republican House Speaker John Boehner may be considering doing the un-thinkable -- abandoning House conservatives to do a deal with Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi to keep the government open long-term.

Hardline conservatives who have caused problems for leaders for years were not falling in line. These conservatives estimate their ranks are 30 to 40, enough to derail a vote.

That swelling Republican opposition gives Pelosi and her down-in-the-dumps House Democrats some unexpected power: the ability to rescue Boehner’s Republican Conference as Democrats have again and again in the big fights of the past three years.

If Boehner cuts that deal, it will serve as a warning that Boehner intends to do precisely as some have predicted, abandon House Conservatives next year and rely on moderates and Democrats  to govern weakly, to the extent he can. That stands in stark contrast to Democrats and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi who seemed to relish shoving bills like ObamaCare down America's throat, GOP opposition be damned.

So after a big election victory this fall in which Republicans took the Senate and strengthened their grip on the House, instead of Republicans uniting around their own leadership’s plan, they are about to risk giving more control to Pelosi’s shrinking Democratic Caucus. It makes Boehner allies cringe.

Pelosi (D-Calif.) has been coy about where she’ll fall — she and her allies have sent signals she’ll oppose the measure — but her circle says she’s mulling over her options. It’s clearly a touchy situation for Democrats. Steny Hoyer, Pelosi’s deputy, told POLITICO in the morning he might support the measure, but later in the day, he walked back his statement.

The end result is the same no matter who runs. Eventually they will take whatever freedom we have. But will we fight?

That needs to be answered, and soon.

A corrupt government cannot be solved by a corrupt government. It can be solved by a free population. Even a willing one can change their nations fate. All it takes is the conviction of one man. Where is that man?

Perhaps we should start sending white hankies to the GOP Senators and Reps. It would be appropriate given their cowardice.

Like I said on another thread, we’re now free from Claire Wolfe’s conundrum. Like we were in 1860.

McConnell and Boehner have forced our hand.

"The contest is not over, the strife is not ended. It has only entered upon a new and enlarged arena, and the principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form." - Jefferson Davis, speaking before the Mississippi Legislature in 1871

Is it time? And in what form?

It’s the second choice.

They are absolutely in cahoots.

These are not dumb men.

They are schemers and masterminds, and they are stealing us blind and laughing at us the whole time.

These are the ultimate pyramid scammers. They will take everything from everyone for themselves and leave us all with not one thing, not even our freedom.

These are bad men.

Yup. There are a few of us that were 100% dead nuts correct as to what would happen if ‘conservatives’ re-elected Jonbon and Mitch.

We are ALSO correct about where the loyalties of their vocal sycophants of the ‘lesser evil’ persuasion. they are every bit the liberal traitors that their heroes are. People should, by now, notice a direct correlation between FR’s liberal wing and the increasing domination of liberal Republicans in the ‘political right’.

I mean it’s hard to deny the obvious. Every time the liberals in DC want something, a certain readership on FR posts loudly and often about ‘keeping powder dry’, ‘lesser evil’ and what offenses to God and all his angels that ‘purists’ are.

They demanded Romney. They demanded Jonbon and Mitch. They demanded Perry. They demanded EVERY liberal republican that the GOP ran and did all in their power to thwart third party talk and even condemned people that advocated sticking to principles.

They got what they wanted folks. Remember their names. You’ll see them do more of the same in the future. Here and elsewhere.

So will he cut off his genitals and hand them to her at the same time? Or will that be a separate ceremony?

Once you ban all ways of a peaceful revolution, the only alternatives left will be violent ones.

Kennedy said something like that

MY first solution is to dump Boehner as Speaker of the house.

Because moral cowards elected him again on the premise that he was the unicorn that is ‘lesser evil.

Rather than taking the loss of a solitary house seat that posed exactly ZERO danger to the majority, they screamed and hoillered and threw themselves on the floor, kicked and screamed that any Dem was worse and got their way.

That’s why.

Now America suffers because people pretending to be conservative had free rein to spread liberalism across the right, influence voters and ensure Obama’s agenda continues.

Washington, DC is institutionally incapable of reform.

It is past time to go around congress as the Framers would expect us to do. If restoration of freedom is the goal, an Article V state convention to propose structural amendments is our only hope.
