Dr. Ben Carson, author of "One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America's Future," argued that while Officer Darren Wilson did nothing wrong in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, police should be better trained in non-lethal force such as shooting aggressors in the legs on Tuesday's "Hugh Hewitt Show."

He specified "for instance, in a lot of places, police officers aren’t even allowed to go into the more dangerous areas by themselves. They’re always paired. Or you know, people use tasers, people learn how to shoot people in the legs to stop them from charging, things of that nature. And I seriously doubt that he’d been given that information."

Yeah, I understand the anatomy down there. I was making a eugenicist’s reference. If the perp survives, the probablility of his procreating in significantly reduced.
Cops are trained to shoot to kill for the reason that a crippled perpetrator is a huge liability to the State, City or Town. A lawsuit would follow almost immediately.
I think Officer Wilson did hit Bear Brown in the legs.

Childish viewpoints they saw in the movies. We don’t need children telling the rest of the world how to use a firearm.
I agree that the shooter probably didn;t intend to target the arm, but this case is a good counterargument for those advocating using less than deadly force to control a criminal.
The actual impacts are similar to the shooting they advocate, (except the head shot), and they didn’t stop the criminal. Ergo, aiming to wound vice kill failed in this circumstance.
Dr. Carson, that is pants-on-head stupid.
If you shoot, shoot for center mass. Full stop.
Save us all the trouble and say you won’t make a bid to run this country.

Utter nonsense. Carson isn’t going to agree with us on everything, but he has a place at the table. He’s been indoctrinated by the radically liberal AMA. He’s ignorant, not stupid. There’s hope. Educate him, don’t disparage or alienate him.
