Former Massachusetts Governor and failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney believes Republicans should "swallow hard" and pass a permanent amnesty bill in the wake of President Barack Obama's executive amnesty that even Romney conceded would encourage more illegal immigrants to enter the country.

As others, you misunderstand. While I do not believe there is the national will or enough resources to round up and put 15 million people on buses and planes, I want the border closed and those who came here without waiting in line to be prevented from working or getting taxpayer benefits. A huge number will leave on their own. I am not opposed to giving them money to leave, which will actually cost less in the long run.
Not on this site but on many conservative sites EVEN AFTER THIS you will still get the “but you have to vote gop because they’re less worse and you can at least get them to come your way more than the dems” line and be called a dem shill trying to troll their boards (national review comes to mind).
Many gop-ers just will not give up the fantasy that the party is not on their side!!
No way I would ever vote for that liberal bastard!!!
OH YES ON THIS SITE.
NOTHING that POS ot the GOP has done has made the ‘no matter what’ brigade disavow him ot them. Mark my words. They will not go anywhere. Perhaps a day or two to die down, though I doubt it, but there are several hardcore and MANY others less combative that always come up with untrue excuses. That will not change.
So let me get this right.
Obamamnesty is not as good as Romnamnesty
For crying out loud...
These pricks need a shock back to the reality zone.
It’s s sure sign of desperation. The lies keep getting bigger to cover for the last in the series.
“My old pal George Putnam,”
Every time I run across one of your posts I think of him.
George Putnam and Terry Anderson are greatly missed.
There are at least seven hills that I’m willing to die on politically:
1. My faith in, and complete freedom to worship in spirit and truth, my risen, exalted, eternal Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ.
2. God-given, natural, unalienable, intrinsic, equal, individual rights, for every person, born and unborn.
3. Property rights, economic freedom, and the liberty to speak and publish freely
4. The right to keep and bear arms, in self-defense, in the defense of my family, property, community, and nation, and the preservation of our national sovereignty, security, and borders.
5. The defense of natural marriage, the natural family and our posterity.
6. Just, righteous, republican, limited self-government, by the consent of the governed.
7. The Constitution of the United States, and the fulfillment of the sacred, binding oath upon all to support and defend it.
I don’t trust Mitt Romney one iota on any one of those non-negotiable points, much less all of them, as is required to earn my support. He will never get a vote from me for anything, ever. End of story.
Excellent!
People have gotten so used to compromising the small issues they think nothing of cutting into the big ones. Most people in America have not the slightest idea of what they actually believe because it’s all become negotiable.
The last election was filled with it. The Romney fiasco almost as bad. There sat a man with literally nothing conservative in his record. Nothing. I have challenged the lesser evil crew to present ANYTHING that could on a fog filled rainy night in a hurricane be mistaken even remotely as conservative in his record.
No takers yet.
And yet somehow millions of people convinced themselves that this man was a better option than Barry. ALL of that based SOLELY on their ‘pray to the Blue Fairy’ fantasy that he would ‘grow into the office’ and completely reverse his Entire. Documented. Life.
And why wouldn’t they? They regularly convince themselves of everything so they don’t actually have to believe in anything. Because then they’d have to man up and stand behind those beliefs. Mitt was simply one more thing to make an excuse for since all they have to do is pretend it didn’t happen and there’s no downside. On the upside they can spout the utter hogwash that they tried to save America from Barry and feel themselves justified.
Most psych types refer to that as ‘rationalizing’.
Why won’t this loser just go away and stop embarrassing himself?
I voted for the idiot. But this is what we would have had if he had won, and Democrats would clean up blaming him for everything while they got their way.
LOL-—good ones.
The GOPe logo is a swine.
It's really not hard to understand - Romney opines that he thinks some things should be done by the government, but is willing to let the proper houses go about it, per the Constitution. Obama insists that these things be done and goes about it by EO.
Yes, Romney would be better than Obama. If one were to take an hour or a day or a week to categorize everything that Obama has done to us, the lawless and unaccountable leftists he has surrounded himself with, and what he plans to do despite the last election, one might actually have a compass to realize that there is probably nobody else, Dem or Repub or RINO, that would have perpetrated the disasters upon us that Obama has. Add the constant race-immunity card being played and it should be clear even to those with terminal tunnel vision. If not, we might as well fold up FR and not bother going to the voting booth anymore because we are truly screwed.
Well said!
If I reply like I WANT to reply; my comment will end up like #2 in this thread!!!
