U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder appears in a video today on the Department of Justice website, urging police restraint in Ferguson, Missouri, where unarmed teen [drink] Michael Brown was killed by police officer Darren Wilson, and protester/rioters are waiting for the starting gun.
The video is titled: "MAINTAINING PUBLIC SAFETY WHILE SAFEGUARDING CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS"
In part of the video, Holder says:
"It is vital to engage in planning and preparation, from evaluating protocols and training to choosing the appropriate equipment and uniforms," Holder says to law enforcement officials in the video. "This is the hard work that is necessary to preserve the peace and maintain the public trust at all times particularly in moments of heightened community tension."
Over the past few months, weve seen demonstrations and protests that have sought to bring attention to real and significant underlying issues involving police practices, implicit bias, and pervasive community distrust. And in most cases, these demonstrations have been both meaningful and responsible, and have brought vital issues to the attention of the public at large. Similarly, the vast majority of law enforcement officers have honorably defended their fellow citizens engaged in these peaceful protests."
I know, from first-hand experience, that demonstrations like these have the potential to spark a sustained and positive national dialogue, to provide momentum to a necessary conversation, and to bring about critical reform."
But history has also shown us that the most successful and enduring movements for change are those that adhere to non-aggression and nonviolence. And so I ask all those who seek to lend their voice to important causes and discussions, and who seek to elevate these vital conversations, to do so in a way that respects the gravity of their subject matter."
This morning, the DOJ issued new guidelines to safeguard civil rights 'while maintaining public safety' new guidelines and distributed them to law enforcement associations, U.S. attorneys offices, and local law-enforcement email lists.
If it weren't for the fact that somebody(ies) is/are going to die, this would be humorous.
Darren Wilson will be indicted. Write it on a rock.
“”This is the hard work that is necessary””
What in the devil would he know about hard work? He’s never done anything requiring hard labor in his life except maybe lifting a law book. Useless piece of dung!
Please use full, legal names in the future.
IE:
Michael Black Unarmed Teen Brown
Darren White Armed Cop Wilson
John F***** Served in Vietnam Kerry
Scroll down on linked page. ..CBS reporting two Black Panthers were arrested for purchasing materials to make PIPE BOMBS for demonstration in Ferguson.
He’s calling for restraint...from the police???
Hopefully the cold will keep the protests minimal.
Grabbing the officer’s gun causing it to fire while in the patrol car is not being “unarmed.”
Watched a segment on CNN this morning, simply because they are covering it the most...asked the question how will Ferguson change for the better after this is all over.
Not a single person suggested anything about the youth trying to not rob stores, steal etc.
I guess that would be a bad idea??
The most important things are often those left unsaid.
Like....
Don’t loot.
Don’t burn things down.
Don’t kill people.
He is transmitting a message to the rioters to stay the course. He has got their back.
Maybe for the elderly and those who have children, who brought their children to previous protests. I just see no good end to this for it's way beyond Michael Browns’s death and from it's onset into race issues for the black community with every black organization jumping into the fray....and this with the 'mindset passed down' generation after generation as pictured here....they will always resort to being a victim of the past... just as this recent drama was played out in both these photos....and Holder and Obama are fueling this.
Ferguson has an opportunity for the black community to show it can and should be civil and go through whatever channels needed to address their issues....obviously nothing has yet to change the trajectory these folks are set to do. Facts are as usual pushed aside to make “other” demands....with one after another black organization jumping in in order to “take donations” to keep their organizations going.

A total CYA. When the SHTF Holder can do an Obama, and point his finger.
Restraint - use of rubber bullets, water hoses if these fail is live ammunition an option/ Like the rioters will use restraint. Look there were two arrested already for bombs. Whats next, more arrested for what Chains linked to the light poles, or toilets bursting from m-80s in the toilet. Really the rioters will not utilize restraint.
Must be exhausting working a full time job and finding time to protest. Thankfully obama will soon let illegals carry the burden of working so the rest of the ghetto can really hit the streets. /sarc
Rule #1. Do not assault police officers and attempt to murder them. You will be shot like Mikey!
Here is Eric Holder’s video urging police restraint in Ferguson (Michael Unarmed Teen Brown)
Taqqiya propoganda. Video urges restraint while simultaneous hoping and organizing Ferguson cannon fodder erupt into insurrection. Then the federal INsurrectuion Act can be invoked and martial law declared to subvert state aurthority.
Micheal Brown was not an unarmed teen. He managed to seize an offiocers side arm and squeeze off two rounds inside the patrol vehicle in an attempt t murder the officer with his own gun.
Thats not “UNARMED.”
