Boehner: Obama Has Cemented His Legacy of Lawlessness
Townhall.com ^ | November 20, 2014 | Katie Pavlich

House Speaker John Boehner, who warned after the recent midterm elections that executive action on immigration reform would "poison the well," has issued a statement in response to President Obama's announcement and decision to move forward with changes in immigration law without Congress, saying Obama has "cemented his legacy of lawlessness."

“The American people want both parties to focus on solving problems together; they don’t support unilateral action from a president who is more interested in partisan politics than working with the people’s elected representatives. That is not how American democracy works. Not long ago, President Obama said the unilateral action he just announced was ‘not an option’ and claimed he’d already ‘done everything that I can on my own.’ He said it would lead to a ‘surge in more illegal immigration.’ He said he was ‘not a king’ and ‘not the emperor’ and that he was ‘bound by the Constitution.’ He said an action like this would exceed his authority and be ‘difficult to justify legally.’ He may have changed his position, but that doesn’t change the Constitution," Boehner said. “By ignoring the will of the American people, President Obama has cemented his legacy of lawlessness and squandered what little credibility he had left. His ‘my way or the highway’ approach makes it harder to build the trust with the American people that is necessary to get things done on behalf of the country. Republicans are left with the serious responsibility of upholding our oath of office. We will not shrink from this duty, because our allegiance lies with the American people. We will listen to them, work with our members, and protect the Constitution."

If the Supreme Court finds some piece of the Affordable Health Act being unable to function, and throws that out...what exactly is left to brag about after eight years in office?

You have to admit....he’s virtually done nothing for six years so far...worth even thirty pages in some bio. Even for a fraudulent historian....I don’t see how you write some decent history up on the guy.

Now its time for the rhinos to “cement” odumbo’s presidential “coffin”, meaning burry him, block every thing he and the demodummies have promoted and/or hope to promote. Simply, cut him down like a dead tree.

Why don’t you wait and see, instead of speculating that he won’t do anything about it. I am tired of this negativity

The American people are tired of RINOs who complain but do nothing substantive. Then they bend over backwards to help the liberals pass their agenda. Americans are also tired of the corruption in DC. So far the republicans have shown a great willingness to play along. No one is being negative, just recalling the recent past.

And this last part:

“...Republicans are left with the serious responsibility of upholding our oath of office. We will not shrink from this duty, because our allegiance lies with the American people. We will listen to them, work with our members, and protect the Constitution.”

Keep the pressure on, keep calling Boehner, demand that he and the rest of the House bring charges of impeachment against this law-breaker!

IMPEACH the 0!

I am thinking of his track record and the fact that when he can/should be more vocally opposed to the King, he isn’t.

John should have been be more aggressive altogether-from the very moment “O” started his ‘victory lap’ across America. THAT has been for many years now.

Impeachment would put a new name on a Lame Duck President.

Zer0 thinks he has laid a trap by goading the Republicans toward the impeachment process. Americans understand the rule of law—even the stupid Americans. It is not the Republicans who will demand it. It is the rule of law established by our Constitution that demands it. It is for all Americans to follow the law whether they like it or not. And those who prosecute those who break the law, do it because the law demands it. There is nothing too complicated about it for Americans to understand.

What are you going to do about it? Cry?

Tough talk is not worth a bucket of warm spit. If the GOP doesn’t actively fight this lawless president, it can count on losing the 2016 elections.

BOEHNER: “...Republicans are left with the serious responsibility of upholding our oath of office. We will not shrink from this duty, because our allegiance lies with the American people. We will listen to them, work with our members, and protect the Constitution.”

MEMO TO OBAMA: Don't worry about it, Bama-baby, b/c Americans stepped up to the plate at midterms, and here's what they said.

Republican takeover as of midnight 11/5---
<> Alaska went Republican; on Dec 6 so will LA. <>Democrats
who ran ON amnesty were soundly defeated. <>Of 140 Southern
state legislative districts, 110 went Republican. <>Texas is
redder than ever. <>Illiois has a Repub governor.

Midterm Map courtesy of http://www.nationaljournal.com

==================================================

A dam shame the trounced/rejected Obama is losing it.

Obama's preening, vainglorious bravado in going forward alone was a paean to Jonathan Gruber.... Gruber musta told Obama just make it up as you go along b/c stupid Americans wont understand it, anyway.

THIS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD Obama bloviates about "tough border controls"..... the moral equivalent of "if you like your plan, you can keep it."

Well boner, if it’s lawless, what does the constitution say about Presidents who break the law?

You said lawless. Now carry out your duty.

He used the IRS as a cudgel to throw an election. He is a treacherous tyrant

He will serve as the horrible example even if he lives till January 2017
