Once, several years ago, I talked about the counter protest to the flaming idiots we did in DC to my husband’s liberal BIL & family. hehe

The biggest tip I ever got was a $100 bill from The King of the Gypsies, when I sang “There’s A Place In the Sun” at his mother’s funeral.

The organist and I were doing typical “Old Hymns” because we had no idea what “religion” the Gypsies were, and then the King came over and asked the organist if he knew the song. The organist didn’t, but I remembered it, and sang it acapella.

And how did I end up singing at the funeral of the Gypsy Queen Mother?

This particular BIG MOUTH episode that lost me my favorite client, was in regards to the Ferguson case.

And her stepdad is a LEO, Vietnam Vet, Sharpshooter, and loves Rush.

So go figure.

Evidently, my BIG MOUTH views make Rush look like a hippy!

I might have come in 4th, but I was 14 HOURS late with the American heroes thread.

1) Real Gypsies?

2) My husband is from Michigan, from blue collar family and most are conservative, but the sister who lives near us (she was in the Navy too) is married to a flaming liberal that has infected his family (well, both daughters are lesbians, which leads to another problem his sister has with me).

3) Ah, the Ferguson case. That’s a tough one. But, give yourself a pat on the back for now succumbing to “bite your tongue or you’ll lose a...” that would only lead you to kick yourself for not being “true to yourself”. (That is part of the lesbian thing above for me).

4) You are not alone in the “fashionably late” category, either. The founder of our writing club is ALWAYS late for everything. Our holiday gala is going to be on the Spirit of Washington (a cruise in Dec., go figure LOL) and I told her she could not be late for that; the ship sails at a given time.

I said...”Sorry, I can’t find that song in the two dozen hymnals I own, and I can’t read music...how about something else?”

That’s when the request came for the Stevie Wonder song, which I was happy to sing.

I have since taught myself to read music, but at the time, i was glad that I couldn’t, as someone could have pulled out a watchtower hymnal, and i would have had to open my Conservative BIG MOUTH again.

And lose yet ANOTHER job.

But you are correct my FRiend. It is better to be honest, because you have to live with yourself afterwards.
