New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is maneuvering to run for president in 2016 and will use his progressive credentials to derail former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s expected bid for the White House, according to a prediction from the chairman of the Republican Party in New York. Ed Cox, the New York state GOP chairman, also said de Blasio’s plan will be successful, according to the New York Post.
“It’s like Barack Obama; he was a brand-new freshman senator, and he ran for president and won. I think de Blasio is going to do it,” Cox said at a recent meeting, according to a source who spoke to the Post. The New York GOP chairman said a “Democratic lobbyist” told him that de Blasio’s posturing as a progressive leader is part of his plan to run for president in 2016.

Good for him. If we are going to get a Communist (assuming the Sultan hasn’t made himself permanent by then) we might as well get the real unabashed thing. If he succeeds in getting nominated he will sure as hell win the election because his “opponent” will be Jeb Bush or Mutt Romney.
Unless, of course it is Mr. Bill who is putting him up to it.
JFK jr was an interesting guy. My cousin worked with him in Manhattan DA office. Said Jr. did every job every new ADA did, played on the ADA softball team and took his turn buying drinks after work. When he started the magazine George the first guy he hired to contribute was AL D’Amato, whom he always called Alphonse. I don’t think he ever saw himself running for any office.
