Comedian (and climate change advocate) Jon Stewart seems to think vanishing coal jobs that force miners to find new jobs “is funny”. So funny in fact, he thinks they should go and work for the NFL….because, you know, being a coal miner and a football player in the NFL are so similar.

Some coal miners in Kentucky are in fact morons. While driving through south east Kentucky to view the fall foliage, I witnessed lots of signs UMWA members for Grimes.
Grimes was the avowed anti coal senate candidate and the UMWA is 100% coal miners

There are plenty of clean coal methods out there being used, but they’ve been hoodwinked to think it’s all “bad”.....If it was why is Brazil, Mexico, India and China buying up all of our surplus coal?

After the election I read some op-ed taking coal country to task for voting Republican, the usual “they voted against their own interest” garbage but taken up to 11. Really really arrogant stuff, especially considering that the left wants to put them out of work.
