Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) says impeachment should be on the table if President Barack Obama moves forward with executive amnesty. Speaking with Breitbart News Wednesday evening, Jones explained that should Obama move to unilaterally legalize undocumented immigrants, it would be a constitutional issue, not an issue to be solved by restricting funding, as some Republicans have floated. To me a constitutional question means that we have the option of impeachment, Jones said, explaining that he thinks the best option to confront Obamas executive amnesty would be impeachment. We have a Constitution, and I am very disappointed from year to year that we do not follow the Constitution. To me, if you think the president has violated his trust of office, meaning with the American people, then follow the Constitution, Jones added. The North Carolina Republican is no stranger to calls for impeachment, having at varying times seen impeachment as a way to deal with Obama on Obamacare and former President George W. Bush on Iraq. He voted against the Republican resolution earlier this year to sue the President over Obamacare because he said it would be kicked out. He told The Hill at the time that impeachment would be preferable if the GOP were serious about the issue. Jones further noted that he supported a resolution from former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) to impeach Bush over Iraq. We continue to forget that we have a constitutional responsibility, and to me, look at the constitutional responsibility first before you look at something second, Jones said to Breitbart News, then stressed that he thinks Obama is a fine person.

That’s nothing but political cowardice. You don’t get guaranteed wins handed to you.. You make them.
Why say that? Why lie?
A car thief can say he simply borrowed the car without permission and is therefore not arrestable.
IMO, the same thing happens that happened under Clinton. The articles are watered down. The real damaging stuff isn’t included.
It gets to the Senate, and the Republican Senators loose bladder control.
If it goes to a vote, you lose Snow, McCain, Graham...
“Oh what he did is bad, but it’s not unconstitutional, or doesn’t measure up to the impeachment hurdle.”
Blah!
Do this, but take the bastard to court.
IMPEACH OBAMA NOW. WHY WAIT!!!!!!!! Let Your Congress Critter Know it is time to end this Dictator!!!!
Yup. full frontal assault. All the tools in the box. Win or die on the hill.
What I find amazing is that Dem leadership is denying knowing Gruber instead of seeking out Obama and telling him NO MORE CRAP or we WILL impeach you. The Dems really hate America. The Dems made this mess, now they need to clean it up.
They probably did. Ge just told them he would take them down with him.
Cur seals with as many as you need to get the impeachment.
Then after its over, expose the truth to America about the deals.
I will believe this when I see it...wake me up if it happens.
Rip Van Winkle
yup - kind of a wag-the-dog and hey-look-over-there thing so he can sneak it through. They really ought to impeach the SOB for being a pathological liar and narcissist, IN ADDITION to being a fraud and ineligible to hold the title/position of POTUS.
Goog God could I have typoed that worse...
CUT DEALS nor seals ;) Now Peta will hate me...
I’ll put my farm on that bet. Will BELIEVE it WHEN he walks out the gate with his tail between his legs.
It is way past time for those in congress to quit assuming that Hussein has a RIGHT to [usurp] the office. Despite the way he prances around, he was NOT ANNOINTED, and since he continues to abuse the power, the cancer that is Baraq 0bama must be removed for the good of The Republic! The Founding Fathers put IMPEACHMENT and REMOVAL in place to handle criminal elements like the muzzie, so use it!
Will be interesting to see what the GOPe does about this when they take control next year - although despite this growing outcry from the electorate, I just don't see them having the balls to make it happen.
Correct. But in this situation, all the spineless Republicans, along with the Dems, buy into his BS. He could claim the sky is purple and NO ONE would argue with him.
Oh I’m not hopeful. They are pure cowards. But I want to be able to say we tried.
Thats what the GOP base wanted. Unprincipled cowards as long as they were winning unprincipled cowards. So here we are. Look what we won keeping those evil ‘purist’ types out.
See post 56.
So this guy was going to vote to impeach Bush over Iraq?
On what possible basis?
Norm, even if I thought Congressional Republicans would or even could present a unified front to Obama, it would be a hard sell for me to pull the impeachment lever.
Those wusses couldn’t agree that he’s half Black, let alone anything else.
The real damaging things against Clinton were left out, and the public was much more informed of his actions than they are of Obama’s.
Today, what type of people think Obama is deserving of impeachment? Wouldn’t you say it’s mostly Conservative Tea Party types?
Republicans think we’re terrorists. Think they’re going to push for impeachment?
Folks, if it can be achieved, I’m all for giving it a shot. If it winds up affirming to Leftists that only far far far Right Wing fringe wanted it based on politics, I don’t see a real win here.
While C.E.W. is what she or he is....I think she or he is correct here.
