GOP REP: IMPEACHMENT AN OPTION IF OBAMA MOVES ON EXECUTIVE AMNESTY
Breitbart ^ | 11/13/2014 | Caroline May

Posted on 11/13/2014 12:52:51 PM PST by gwgn02

Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) says impeachment should be on the table if President Barack Obama moves forward with executive amnesty. Speaking with Breitbart News Wednesday evening, Jones explained that should Obama move to unilaterally legalize undocumented immigrants, it would be a constitutional issue, not an issue to be solved by restricting funding, as some Republicans have floated. “To me a constitutional question means that we have the option of impeachment,” Jones said, explaining that he thinks the best option to confront Obama’s executive amnesty would be impeachment. “We have a Constitution, and I am very disappointed from year to year that we do not follow the Constitution. To me, if you think the president has violated his trust of office, meaning with the American people, then follow the Constitution,” Jones added. The North Carolina Republican is no stranger to calls for impeachment, having at varying times seen impeachment as a way to deal with Obama on Obamacare and former President George W. Bush on Iraq. He voted against the Republican resolution earlier this year to sue the President over Obamacare because he said it would be kicked out. He told The Hill at the time that impeachment would be preferable if the GOP were serious about the issue. Jones further noted that he supported a resolution from former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) to impeach Bush over Iraq. “We continue to forget that we have a constitutional responsibility, and to me, look at the constitutional responsibility first before you look at something second,” Jones said to Breitbart News, then stressed that he thinks Obama is a “fine person.”

impeachment should be on the table

I'd much rather hear it will be on the table.

Problem is, this is coming from one of the dumbest members of the House, who is an absolutely philosophically incoherent Southern Republican who was a 9-11 truther, is in favor of raising the Federal minimum wage, and votes often with union interests.

He really is the wacko bird - but sometimes he’s right, and this would be one of them.

Clinton impeached, but NOT Obama...?

That’s crazy.

Impeach him!

Congress should act now and put in on the table BEFORE he signs anything on amnesty or any other subject. BHO has made it clear in speech after speech that he will continue to bypass the Constitution, including using his dictatorial power to bring America down in every way he can, including dissing U.S. immigration law.

Can’t he just be deported instead, a lot easier considering he is an Illegal Alien in the first place.

Glad to hear someone in the GOP is at least willing to entertain the idea of thinking about someday doing something to try to maybe, possibly, slow down the runaway Obama facism.

Of course, this will probably make Boehner cry.

Get rid of Boehner. He is Obama’s protector.

It's always ONE MORE THING before they'll impeach.

An incoherent paulbot for sure. His Wiki write-up seems to be spot on with your characterization.

Jones has a lifetime rating of 84.69 from the American Conservative Union. However, his voting record has drifted more toward the left in recent years according to the group's ranking. In the last four years, he received some of the lowest ACU ratings of any Republican from the South. In 2006, he received a 79, in 2007 he received a 71, in 2008 he received a 58, in 2009 he received an 83, in 2010 he received a 65, and in 2011 he received a 60.[17][18][19][20][21][22] The former five ratings were the lowest recorded in those years for a Republican from North Carolina.

But he’s only a time to time Paul bot - I seriously think he’s just stupid. I mean, there is no deep end in his gene pool. Incoherent. No intellectual consistency. And to top it off, he’s an ass who enjoys being a contrarian. He’s no more liked by the Tea Party caucus than he is Boehner and pals.

I guess when you don’t stand for anything, you have plenty of changes to be a contrarian.

I keep hearing the impeachment talk but not seeing any action. What good is a bluff if you aren’t will or don’t have the balls to follow through?

Yea because leading with a negative is always a good way to rally the troops behind an idea.

History teaches an important lesson too many Americans REFUSE to understand:

Dictators and tyrants and oligarchies of this kind now ruling us, CANNOT be removed from power via civil means.

Placating the angry public is all this is. They have no intention of carrying through with impeachment, and Obama would LOVE for them to try.

Think Ferguson on steroids if the GOP actually attempted it, and trust me - they know he knows they are impotent.
