The FBI and Europol have conducted a joint operation to take down the internet's thriving "deep web" drug marketplaces.
The official FBI New York Twitter account just confirmed the seizure of Silk Road 2.0, saying that the site's alleged operator, Blake Benthall, was arrested in San Francisco on Wednesday. He now potentially faces life in prison, the FBI says.
Benthall appears to be an employee of SpaceX, Elon Musk's private rocket company.

Can you post text?
Sorry, it still works for me.
Gettin’ high in more ways than one!......................
Only a brief summary as I posted.
Google Business Insider and then scroll down to the article on that web site.
What interests me is on-line anonymity. Since if you develop truly anonymous communications and money transfer, criminals and bad people are bound to use it, the government is going to say that the operator of the service is complicit.
(In this case, he probably was...)
Shutting down services like this, though, shuts down anonymous communications (and money transfer) for people who are not criminal but merely want privacy for legitimate reasons.
This isn’t just about the US. In a lot of countries, this kind of privacy can be a matter of personal security if your opinions are out of favor, if the police and government are themselves a criminal enterprise and its important to keep your finances private. In a lot of countries you try to keep a low profile financially to avoid being a target.
We live in a world in which privacy is being criminalized.
If it works for you, maybe some of us that it doesnt work for can benefit from a text paste ... Is text pasting BANNED ?
Yes: "businessinsider.com must be excerpted."
Seriously? What a putz.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
There were many that did:
White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
Mr. Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan
My Green Tambourine - Lemon Pipers
Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
the list goes on....................
—then there was “Puff the Magic Dragon”—
I was living in the SF Bay area during that period.
My only child was conceived in Golden Gate Park in 1967 (The Summer Of Love) at a free Grateful Dead Concert.
(He has a PhD (physics) and is a big shot now, so, it did him no harm, lol)
And there already are several other sites that will simply get the business of this one.
Nothing changed except for more taxpayer money down the WOD sewer
LOL, TMI dude!
(Or not enough... can't decide.)
