WESLACO, TX (KRGV/CBS) - Officials are investigating allegations of voting irregularities after legally blind resident Rodrigo Yrigoyen said he was forced to vote against his will.
The 65-year-old said two women knocked on his door, dressed him and took him to a curbside voting center in his neighborhood last Monday. They told him he had to vote for one of the women's cousins that was running for office.
"When they knocked on my door, I thought it was my nurse. That's why I opened the door," Yrigoyen said.
Yrigoyen said he repeatedly told the women no, but they took him to an early voting center and forcefully moved his hand to vote for the candidate.
Since Yrigoyen is legally blind, he does not know who he voted for, but the state election database shows he has been a registered voter since Aug. 20.
"I told them no," Yrigoyen said. "I have never voted in my life, why should I start now? I told them that I wouldn't vote."
The incident has been reported to the Weslaco police, and the FBI has also been alerted of the incident.
The women have not yet been charged, but Yrigoyen wants his vote nullified and the situation resolved as soon as possible.
You only get one guess and one guess only.
I believe the Dems were infiltrating the senior centers. Those are the old loyalists who think that FDR is on the ballot.
Wendy Davis went all-out.
I lived at the edge of a minority voting area. I voted early in the day in some little bungalow. Later in the day I got called to come back and revote.
This was 35 years ago. I went back and voted again. I guess that because I hadn’t voted for the minority candidate, their 100% support wasn’t perfect. I still voted for my bud who was not a minority, even as the minority ladies hovered around me.
Border town, women are probably back in Mexico already.
We, at the DO"J", do not care.
Any vote for our agenda outweighs anyone's rights."
98% of the people who could ever have voted for FDR are dead.
“I believe the Dems were infiltrating the senior centers. Those are the old loyalists who think that FDR is on the ballot.”
That is SO TRUE. Fortunately life expectancies are working in our favor and those voters are going away. The next step, is to have their voting going away with them...which means stopping proxy voting of dead people.
The standard Democrat method for doing that in Texas was finally ended this year, and the Dems got CLOBBERED.
Doesn’t say how he got registered, either.
Since he’s blind, I’d guess motor voter did the trick.
No joke. My 90 year-old MIL, in 2005, with dementia, was convinced Eisenhower was president. She would have voted for Stevenson if she’d had a chance.
I believe the Dems were infiltrating the senior centers... All the MR centers in PA had 100% turnout Tuesday. I personally saw and heard social workers, aides and nurses go to beds and say “Honey, do you want to vote?” Ans: “Gurgle...eeeeeeee, eeeee, ulp!” Question: “Did you want to vote for Bill Clinton?” Ans: “Gurgle...eeeeeeee, eeeee, ulp!” “OK, I’ll just fill this out for you.” None of these people have ever talked, conversed or knew what was happening around them. I complained in MANY different places and was told “Well, they have rights, too.”
my mother was still voting at age 90....5 years ago. I tried to explain the abortion party to her. deaf....
That may be true...but their children were of the same mind.
It took me awhile, but the station services Baton Rouge Louisiana, so Mary Landrieu was most likely the recipient.
Nevermind, I just saw this: WESLACO, TX (KRGV/CBS)
He prob didn’t register. Someone else did for him.

More info and video showing the women. This was done at a housing authority so bet there was more than one forced vote. It was a concerted effort over several months. Someone registered him in August. Don’t know if the women’s candidate won as no names for him yet.
