Mrs. Mosby and I were traveling through SC Southbound I-95 on 3 Nov, and encountered a huge VanHool brand new white charter tour bus- unmarked. It pulled into the Flying J truckstop in Florence,SC and disgorged about a 100 hispanics (from business experience and listening to them in the store-these were Mexican indios, and all were males). They all went into the store, purchased snacks, then got back aboard and it left, having fueled at the diesel truck pumps. While it was fueling, we went around and took down the GA license plate- tried to locate the driver and make a friendly enquiry but no luck. Perhaps some FReepers have a resource for the plate number, determining just who/what was going on with this large group of clearly "undocumented" males. Some did have evidence of gang-signs, tatoos (learned by us at one of our local law enforcement crime watch classes).
Comments?
I have seen 5 of these unmarked buses going through the Atlanta area.
No ID, no names, no company ID, blacked-out windows.
Which way were they headed? N, S, E, W?..................
They could have been a sports team
SOB needs workers.
Northbound. GA plates were plain white. I thought maybe a federal charter out of Brunswick processing center for the Feds.
Most sports teams are proud of it.
The bus might not be marked, but they will have lots of team insignias on hats, shirts, jackets, etc.
No, they were many greatly overweight, and not particularly clean. If these were labor pool illegal pickers then would understand. But typically, you don’t see these in this fancy a bus. Seriously. A bus of this type (I know about these from business use) is worth over 400K apiece, and usually purchased for a fleet of commercial charter- like GrayLine or something.
They're here to help with the Ferguson riots scheduled for next Monday.
Contract construction workers?
Sheetrock Installation Engineers?
Lawn Care Technicians?
Fruit and Vegetable Harvesting Experts?
Domicile Sanitation Technicians?
Food Preparation Specialists?.........................
Could you tell whether they paid for their own snacks or whatever? Or had a tab running? Interesting. Thanks for sharing this story.
Post the license number. Somebody in tjhis forum will be able to tell us more.
See, they’re helping build the economy by buying snacks!
And they are supporting the transportation sector by buying fuel to cart themselves around!!!
Unmarked busses full of Hispanic men.
You just descibed every school bus and college soccer team in the northeast.
Or church group.
Or prison bus.
Or military bus.
You really need to relax.
Looks like an unmarked Dept. of Homeland Security bus.
Yuu no— ees trooo- they were headed for Pedros South of the Border.... LOL.
No pics?
Watched some of them line up individually and pay for snacks, with... well I don’t know— maybe with a card, or cash.
