After years of legal battles between the House Oversight Committee and Attorney General Eric Holder, 64,280 redacted Operation Fast and Furious documents held under President Obama's assertion of executive privilege since 2012, have been turned over by the Department of Justice after an order from U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson. The Justice Department was originally ordered to turn over a list of documents, better known as a Vaughn Index, with explanations as to why documents fall under executive privilege claims by November 1.
When Eric Holder wants to know why he was the first Attorney General held in criminal contempt of Congress, he can read the judges order that compelled the production of 64,280 pages that he and President Obama illegitimately and illegally withheld from Congress. Since these pages still do not represent the entire universe of the documents the House of Representatives is seeking related to the Justice Departments cover-up of the botched gun-walking scandal that contributed to the death of a Border Patrol agent, our court case will continue," Chairman Darrell Issa said in a statement. "I am deeply concerned that some redactions to these documents may still be inappropriate and contrary to the judges order in the case. This production is nonetheless a victory for the legislative branch, a victory for transparency, and a victory for efforts to check Executive Branch power. As the production is extensive and may contain sensitive information, our investigative staff will be carefully examining the documents turned over last night.
These documents being turned over is long awaited confirmation from both DOJ and the White House that officials withheld 64,280 that do not fall under President Obama's executive privilege claims.
"The President and the Attorney General attempted to extend the scope of the Executive Privilege well beyond its historical boundaries to avoid disclosing documents that embarrass or otherwise implicate senior Obama Administration officials," an Oversight Committee release states. "In effect, last nights production is an admission that the Justice Department never had legitimate grounds to withhold these documents in the first place. Approximately two-thirds of the universe of documents that the Justice Department withheld from Congress has now been shown to be well outside the scope of Executive Privilege."
Although tens of thousands of documents have been released to lawmakers on the Oversight Committee, there are still a number of existing Fast and Furious documents being withheld from Congress and the American people.
"If the Department identifies additional material that is appropriate for release, we will work with you to arrange for a supplemental productions. Likewise, the Department reserves the right to seek the return of any privileged material that may have been inadvertently disclosed," DOJ Assistant Director John Tyler wrote in a cover letter attached to the documents and submitted to Congress.
The legal battle between DOJ and the House Oversight Committee is ongoing. Attorney General Holder announced his resignation in September, but will not leave office until a replacement is confirmed after the midterm elections.
At least it’s some progress. Would love to see the judge jerk them in if this is a phony deal with mostly redacted docs and hold them in contempt.
Redacted all to hell?
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Me too, contempt coming from a federal judge is something Holder could not just ignore the way he’s thumbed his nose at Congress.
Bam!
Normally I would agree that a good purge of the government of all types of communists, Marxists, progressives, socialists and dumbassed liberals is long overdue, but
1. we have no leaders with enough balls to plan it properly and get it rolling (except for me and a few friends who have lived in the wonderful world of subversion and know who is who and where they are).
2. The collective Marxists are so far embedded in the government, media and academia, that you couldn’t get them out with an atomic enema.
3. The Left has far more money to create front operations (i.e. Soros, for one; Steyers for another), that they can keep their leftist minions employeed for decades, thus allowing them to continue on their subversion in every section and sector of American life, culture, education, and information.
4. We need new conservative sugar-daddies who will put real money where their values are and create many new organizations to counter the left. There are enough talented, experienced, and willing young (and old) conservatives out there to lead and staff these organizations, to mold them into a lean, mean, ideological and political machine that will investigate, expose and take no prisoners.
It is time for all conservatives to unite against our common enemies, the traditional communists/Marxists/socialists/progressives, black racial extremists, domestic and foreign Jihadists and their supporters, and the educationally-challenged unwashed “lumpen proletariat”.
If you want to win a war, you prepare for war with the leadership, manpower, money, and WILL to win.
I’ve been in this game since at least 1965 and I’m tired of half-measures, weany leaders, pennies for salaries and materials, and ego-tripping con-artists who employ and Old Boy Network to get fancy jobs, fancy titles and exorbitant salaries.
In the words of the old philosopher, “It is time to shit or get off the pot”.
One good thing about redaction’s; it proves beyond any shadow of commie/liberal doubt thatthere IS a cover up...now i do approve waterboarding the DOJ amd rezident prez..phnoy scandals. I think not[rest of curse words redacted]
Every [redacted] one of 'em.
Best time to “News Dump” is in the middle of an election...
the UBDER REDACTION,,,,
The gang that can’t shoot straight finally got their secret immunity deal set up. Let me guess, this was an “intelligence operation” that falls under the umbrella of the FISA court that rubber-stamps everything that wanders by. Just throw an immunity order in front of them and you’re good-to-go!
BTTT
Ha. On Election Day? Who’s going to pay attention?

Absolute best time for the Dems to let them out if they can’t be kept in.
Too late to affect this years election and far too early to have an effect on the next election.
The Dems stalled long enough to avoid hurting this years elections.
... They know the tide has turned .... so it is now officially .... magical illusion performance time for this administration ... Yup .... choreographed diversionary dance numbers created to enthrall the media and keep them busy.
.... They are losing control .... they now know there will be actual substantial, real and genuine investigations coming forthwith.
.... Unfortunately for them ...... They know .... it's now time to pay the Devil his due ....
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I don't add you to the list...
Timing is suspicious.
