Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.
Please be sure to post observations of interest if you went to the polls today.
So let me guess, you voted for the Constitution Party candidate or the Norm Lenhart Litmus Test Party candidate? Net effect is the same. Great job. You sure showed America.
And that is why I go out and vote for the most conservative person I can. If there is no conservative person on the ballot, I hold my nose and vote for the Repub because at least they have SOME issues in common. If I don't do that, a liberal might get that office and next thing you know we have legalized abortion, we can't drill American oil, there are many things that even a more liberal (RINO as you say) has in common than the other side. I can't expect to get my way about everything.

It’s no use folks, remember what Mark Twain said:
“Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.”
Exactly and anybody who actually believes that life under Romney would have ended the same way as it has with Obama simply is not thinking.
Yep.
I do believe our economy would be in way better shape had Romney won. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, he probably would not have suddenly pulled out of Iraq allowing all those poor people over there to get beheaded.
Yeah, he would have been so much better. But we have our principles and he’s a RINO. :)
Can we stop bickering over the 2012 election...and who is more Republican then the other guy and just get along here and watch the returns come in.
Thank you..
Any good news in the last hour? Also, not sure nc will be good news based on polls. Be wary of judging all by nc. Just my two cents.
I will be squealing (with delight!) when Joni is declared the winner!!
I worked the last 2 presidential elections. I cant tell you how much hatred and bitterness I encountered from our side. So how do we get Norm and the millions of evangelicals to vote in 2016. That’s the magic question.
Sabato (no Republican shill by any means) says 53 Senate seats for the Pubbies.
My question about Romney (now)....even tho I voted for him by voting against Obama...
is why the hell didn’t he, when comments comparing Romneycare as HIS legislation to Obamacare were made, let people know that he vetoed “Romneycare”, that he was overruled by the Democrats who controlled both houses, and that the very name “Romneycare” was a liberal lie? At least that has been my understanding since then.
He never fought back (like Bush). We need a leader AND a fighter, dammit. Romney would have been better than Obama, but he still didn’t deserve the honor of being president since he never fought back like he really wanted the job.
Where is our Reaganesque candidate?
Let norm pick his acceptable candidate i assume. His way or the highway.
Witnessing the clamp-down on the religious freedom of Christians over the past 6 six years should be enough to get them to the polls and vote "R". Either that, or watch it ALL slip away.
Did my part to elect Col. Rob Maness for Louisiana Senator!
Let’s go conservatives!! Wipe the floor with the soul-less Demoncraps!!!
Voted in Central Iowa in Hamilton County. An agricultural county north of Ames. The election officials told me it was as busy as they have ever seen it. Go Joni!
Black Panthers? Or union goons?
Wow, how do they do that? I'm guessing polls don't close until 7 pm there? I thought nobody posted results until the polls closed.
