Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.
Please be sure to post observations of interest if you went to the polls today.
BUMP for later reading!
None. Unless personal integrity is meaningless to you. then vote in a RINO by all means.
visiting relatives in north carolina. drove by several polling places throughout conservative leaning areas this morning on errands. All seemed pretty dead. My brother in law voted at 7:30am and said there was only 4 people in line, all elderly, and that in a very heavy repub district. Doesn’t look good for tillis. Maybe conservatives have decided no reason to keep getting tricked like blacks do for dims. That old hag hagan will be heading back to do more damage and that little punk clay aiken will be slurpin’ sundaes with hairy reid behind closed doors. just glad barney frank has moved on!! brother in law also said he was the only one that voted in his whole office, out of 27 folks. bad sign.
Maybe the folks in that area voted early? Who knows.
I voted about 0930 in Lexington County South Carolina. I had to wait in line about 15 minutes. The big topic in line was the 1 cent sales tax increase on the ballot. Most in line spoke against it.
Dave Brat.
Marked for later read:)
Cutting your nose off to spite your face is never a viable option.
My son and I just voted. Chatted with three Republican candidates in the building where we voted. One of them told us that voting was not heavy but rather a constant flow of people. Eight booths, neither of us waited to vote.
I voted in Jacksonville, Florida today.
Not much to cheer about again!!
Floriduh(sp?) indeed...
voted just now.
4 people in line ahead of us...I was ballot # 397, my kid (his first national election), and my wife were right behind me.
small precinct, so turnout has been pretty good so far.
we are in NE Iowa...did our part to make the left SQUEAL...go get em, Joni...!!!
I was #122 in my precinct in the 1st Congressional District in Illinois. I voted against Bobby Rush...AGAIN. Straight R no judge retaining...no on all refs.
I don’t find this encouraging. Old people are mostly out for themselves so they’re just worried about keeping the government programs going.
Right. Dave Brat. Any polling done on that race? Or can we assume it was the Dems who “really” took out Cantor?

I don’t think the news is overwhelmingly bad. In my small town, I got there at 8:30, and was voter #133, and I was voter #143 around the same time in 2012. The one thing that looks weird in the early voting is that while the make up is essentially the same as previous years, the elderly were in force and the young completely skipped out. That’s definitely going to be a shift away from the Democrats. NC went against Obama in 2012, so I don’t think Hagan is going to be reelected even with a strong Dem turn-out.
Furthermore, Twitter is abuzz with Haugh, the libertarian, whose only platform is pot legalization. That should cost Hagan some votes.
Its as solid of a gop district as you’ll find. No point in polling; the gop candidate would have to be caught in bed with a dead boy to lose.
Thanks — that’s good news. Since he took out someone so powerful I hope to see Brat in Congress.
Then keep electing liberal repubs and lying to yourself that it’s a conservative thing to do. your call.
