Gen. Wesley Clark placed part of the blame for the Syrian Civil War on blamed climate change in a discussion on Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time.”
Clark said “It’s what was behind a lot of the violence in Syria, it’s happening in East Africa, it’s happening in West Africa. Right now.”

Climate change did hit last night. The evening temps dropped from the mid 40s to the mid 20s. That used to be known as Autumn.

This prompted me to do some digging, I half-remembered that Clark had ordered a British officer at Pristina Airport in Kosovo to dislodge a Russian unit from the airport by firing on them. The British officer who refused to do so was none other than singer-songwriter James Blunt.
