And then anyone who has eyes to see with can tell you what happens next:
The Republicans have made it very clear that they are only too happy to pass the Obama agenda if they win the Senate. So that will just give the Obama administration BI-PARTISAN COVER for the next two years leading up to the 2016 presidential elections.
Moreover, a Republican Senate victory will prove to the big goverment loving RINOcrats that they don't need the conservative base, on whom they have declared outright WAR, so you can forget about them becoming more conservative anytime soon -- not that we have any more time to wait.
You think it's crazy to say that Republicans intend to pass the Democrat agenda? Consider that:
The Republican leadership is lowering expectations about what they'll do if they take the Senate in 2014.
John McCain is already promising to restore the filibuster and promising to expedite approval of Obama's nominees I will work very hard to go back to 60 votes, said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who boldly predicts a Republican Senate would process Obamas nominees more rapidly than [Democrats] do today.
And as for the House: John Boehner: Very Few Republicans Will Oppose Me
Oh, and best of all, now Republicans are promising that a Senate takeover will increase the odds of passing immigration reform. Republicans: Immigration reform is more likely to happen if we take the Senate
Well at least the Republicans will repeal Obamacare. Oh wait, they won't.
The only SLIM chance we have to save our country at this point is to demonstrate beyond a doubt that the GOPs "moderate" agenda is doomed to fail at the polls.
Only then will we have a chance of having a true conservative Presidential nominee in 2016, and the utter collapse of Democrat credibility after two more years of their control of the Senate.
It is terrible to consider two more years of Democrat Senate Control, but no less terrible to consider the result of GOPe control.
And then what? And then no one has an answer because there is no answer, and they will not allow that question to be asked.
That's the wrong question. The real question is "Reid and Obama get to crow arrogantly on election night...AND THEN WHAT??????" = End of the nation.
And, as the author points out, nothing got done. At least nothing we wanted to get done.
The only 'us vs. them' that really counts is the electorate vs. the elected.
This is a classic “grass is greener across the road” argument. Don’t vote the opposition GOP because they are not PERFECT means that Harry Reid continues to be in charge of the US Senate. How the ‘H’ does that benefit us? This is the argument of a Democrat enabler!
FEDERAL JUDICARY, unless you like lifetime appointed YOUNG lefty judges (or have given up hope on America)!
Dead Enders and absolutists are generally the biggest contbibutors to a lost cause. The world is not theirs, but they think it is or it should be.
It happens every 2 years before the national elections.
They promise that voting for the same will produce a different result. It doesn’t.

Bachmann and the Tea Party had a change to make history in January 2013. They had Boehner on the ropes and had enough votes to end his speakership.
But, Bachmann and a couple of others chickened out and cast their votes for the incumbent speaker.
To show his appreciation, Boehner took Bachmann’s chairmanship away from her.

Nothing will happen. The GOPe are for big government as much as the liberals. Susan Collings of Maine gave up the game in an interview saying “no, we won’t repeal Obamacare. We’ll work to make it better”.
Mitch McConnell of KY, when asked about what to do about Ebola, said first, “give the CDC whatever they want. We just sent the president a bill to give them $88 million now and they can get whatever they need.” This after reports of how the CDC illegally wastes and misappropirates earmarked money in their budget. When called on it they claimed they “didn’t have the records as to where the money went”. That’s criminal. GOP response? Snooooze.
What did they do with the IRS scandal? NOTHING! They wrote mean letters. They held dozens of committee meetings to no avail. This was ripe since the people hate the IRS and yet they didn’t do anything to anyone even after their lies of “my harddrive crashed”. Boehner didn’t want to have real hearings with teeth because he and the GOPe WANTED to squash Tea Party activist along with the Dems.
Now, cure Ann Archy and the other FR “We must take the Senate no matter what” crowd to tell us how the world will come to and end if we don’t.
I’m tempted to post a long list of predictions of what will NOT happen if the GOP does take the Senate.
I am not establishment by any stgretch of the imagination, but I will vote all Republican. Establishment or not, we must stick together and work toward a veto proof senate. This country is in trouble, and if we don’t go all Republican, we will be adding to the downfall of America. This is a big deal - vote Republican!!!
Think supreme court appointments and 67 for impeachment. Wash, rinse, repeat!
I say the same thing to you as Joe Wilson said to Obama,
Do what you will but if you vote for democrats please be honest and tell me because when you do that I want nothing to do with you.
I expect the GOP will probably gain back the Senate.
But I don’t expect it to matter one single whit. Things like amnesty, fag-marriage, Obamacare, etc., will still be chugging along, without any substantial Republican pushback. The GOP leadership, if anything, seems downright allied with the Dems on these issues. The GOP has proven over and over again that they won’t fight when it comes to the issues I care about or animate my votes.
I’m going to vote for a few scattered races, but leave most of my ballot blank.
Unless it violates your conscious always vote for the candidate that can most likely unseat the incumbent, at least the new one won’t be as practiced at steeling our property.
Milton Freedman talked about making it politically profitable for the wrong person to do the right thing... still trying to figure that one out but we need to find a way to pressure those already in office to make proper decisions that conform to our constitutional republic’s principals because electing the right candidates just doesn’t seem to do any good.
Nothing. But the Pollyannas are convinced that big, big things will happen. Mitch will roll up his sleeves and boy oh boy, he and Thad and Cornyn and McCain and Graham will make magic!
If someone can and make a difference between Obama having control of the senate his last two years and they don’t vote, they’re a damned idiot.
They trust Obama a lot more than I do. And they haven’t seen anything yet now that he doesn’t have to be concerned with any more elections. He will bring a wrecking ball to this nation. I believe some on here may want that.
Stay home and you will find out how great your decision was.
Hint: It won’t help the conservative cause one bit. It will further entench the RAT party and Obama.
In Indiana, we don’t have a very important role in the 2014 elections.
I am going to vote to vote out the RAT sheriff of Marion County. This guy has let dangerous felons out of the pokey.
The country is most likely over anyway. Dems win the whole thing, I will prepare for the worst for my kids and grandkids.
Let’s see now - Vote for a party that WILL bring more evil or vote for a party that MIGHT bring some evil? That’s a tough choice, I guess.
Yes, we need to see the R party in control of the Senate. I agree that is preferable to having the Red Brigade (aka Dem party) in charge. If the Dem’s are in charge, the judiciary, including USSC justices, will be replaced soon with bat crazy Stalinists. Of course, Obama will still be around if the R party wins the Senate and he will nominate judges that are indistinguishable from the cast of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
However, the R party will listen, even if only a little, to Americans and may question some nominees. The Dems will not. Tax increases are also slightly less likely under an R party Senate.
Unfortunately, as long as the R party does everything they can to make the Dem propaganda system (aka mainstream media) like them, neither party is good for the nation. The first stop to fixing that is to generate a better communication system—and that includes putting the R party in charge of the Senate. It is a small step forward.
