Pushed Thursday night on whether she would want President Barack Obama to campaign with her as she seeks a second term, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) said it doesnt make sense and Obama is exactly where he needs to be in Washington.
We have a lot going on, Shaheen said during an hourlong debate with Republican Scott Brown at NH1s studio in Concord, which was broadcast live on WBIN-TV and was co-sponsored by CNN. I dont think it makes sense for the president to come to New Hampshire right now.
Shaheen doesnt have a shortage of star power coming to New Hampshire for her: Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who beat Brown two years ago in Massachusetts, will come up Saturday. Bill Clinton was there for her last week; Hillary Clinton is coming soon.

He is in DC right now? Must be having his golf clubs cleaned up. I was surprised, ha, he was not on TV last night blaming NYC for allowing the Ebola doctor to travel about.
Yeah, and Clinton used to say something like this "I gotta get back to the business of the American People." Usually in conjunction about his lying to a Grand Jury or when Monica Lewinsky was on air. About the only thing I could ask Shaheen in response to her statement is "Which Golf Course in Washington?"
You're being way too kind to them, especially no. 3.
Bar-Jeanne Sha-bama.
Shaheen will be dripping all over herself in Obamalove during her victory speech. This “independence from Obama” shtick is laughable.
He hate u!
Makes perfect sense, whitey...
Embrace the Obola, Jeanne. You EARNED it.
Well, he told the Democratic candidates, while on the AL Sharpton Show, to do what they needed to do to win and he would forgive them after the election.
You Voted for his Polices over 99% and taking his money. Sorry Jeanne
King Obola had a fundraiser yesterday in DC. That and the usual daily briefing, which he probably didn't attend.
Nothing's been announced for today. He's been working pretty hard lately, so he's earned a day off so he can rest up for the weekend.
If Barack Obama was truly ‘where he needs to be’, he would be seeing flames, and creepy looking guys with horns and pitchforks right about now. Just saying.
Scott Brown is pro-abortion, pro-gay-agenda, and squishy on gun rights ...
BUT
Jeanne Shaheed is ALL of those SQUARED besides signing a letter with a number of other senators coaxing the IRS to investigate conservative groups.
She is an ACTIVE ENEMY of the people and the Constitution.
Look at all these white bigot Democrat politicians avoiding the president or subtly telling him not to come to their state. Don’t you love the irony? Shaheen is almost begging the president not to show up in New Hampshire because she knows her numbers will tank if he shows up. All these white liberals from coast to coast are avoiding him like the plague. Hmm. I’m just waiting for someone from the Congressional Black Caucus to call out their white colleagues for abandoning the president.
With all this leftist liberals getting elected in NH, I wonder how successful the “Free State Project” has been..
Translation: “I don’t want that albatross hanging around my neck.”
The state's motto, "Live Free or Die" is little more than a mockery now.
With Perdue slowly falling back in Georgia and Orman leading in KS, how much is the GOP throwing into this race?
when I lived there, I was disappointed to see the leftward sprint that the politics was taking. With most of the population concentrated in the seacoast area, it was only a matter of time before the state just slouched toward Massachusetts.
