CDC officials said last week that Vinson had been told to avoid public transportation, including commercial airlines, while monitoring herself for symptoms. CDC director Dr. Thomas Frieden said her trip to Ohio, which began before fellow nurse Nina Pham had been diagnosed with Ebola, violated that restrictio

Also, it would be counter to 0bama's plan to infect the entire US population.
Taking the flight was not a wise decision on her part by any stretch of the imagination. Any adjective will do: foolish, stupid, negligent, selfish, etc.
However, that does not mean the CDC can lie if her version is correct.
If her version is correct, I hope she documented the names of each person she spoke with from the CDC.
If the CDC is lying or even bending the truth I hope her lawyer goes after them with everything in his arsenal.
She may own a home soon......
Isn’t she a nurse for pete’s sake???

Amber flies out of Dallas
The agency has acknowledged approving Vinson’s return flight.
Bottom line is a nurse, who should know better, got on a plane. That is inexcusable.
I'm not defending them or condemning them. I'm just trying to understand how people's reactions will affect the problem.
The first nurse...who was more conscientious and obeyed protocals......should be able to tell us if the hospital or cdc gave specific instructions on travel, etc.
I’m thinking the 2nd nurse is fast and loose with the truth.
Her responsibility is legal as she has a nursing license if I not mistaken
Democrats’ War on Women!
I am not sure the first nurse is going to make it. Her condition was downgraded which is disturbing since she has Dr Brantly’s blood.
One of the nurses who has hired a Florida lawyer said that some of them were taping up the open area of their protection gear.
Surely Amber Vinson knew of this concern among nursing staff.
What she did is ludicrous and she should have her license revoked. If she doesn’t end up dead.
Is Amber Vinson a NP, PA, RN, LPN, NA? What are her qualifications?
My cleaning lady calls herself a ‘nurse’ because she took care of an elderly woman for a few months. I’m uncertain whether the cleaning lady finished high-school.
It appears anyone who ever applied a Band-Aid to another person likes to call themselves ‘nurse’.
This is an interesting tidbit put out by Billy Martin:
“Worried because Ms. Pham had become ill, Ms. Vinson was assured that her fears were unfounded, and her request for special arrangements to bring her home a day early were denied, the familys statement said.”

Amber is a RN

IIRC, only when they were caught in a lie.
“Vinson lived in Akron, Ohio, and went to Kent State University, where she received degrees in 2006 and 2008, the university said. She was licensed as a registered nurse in Ohio on February 2, 2009, and remains licensed there, records show, though she has since moved to Dallas. She became an R.N. in Texas on August 22, 2012.”

Exactly. The CDC already has been trying to throw her under the bus, just as they tried to throw the first nurse under the bus.
I just hope Pham’s King Charles Spaniel is ok. Don’t much care about this fool.
