Mac Slavo
October 16th, 2014
The worlds leading news aggregator always stays on top of the most important stories in the world. With over a billion monthly visitors to his web site at DrudgeReport.com, its why thousands of media organizations follow his every post. Though seemingly a private person, there is no doubt that Matt Drudge has the inside scoop on many goings on in Washington and around the country. With contacts in high places, it stands to reason that the man behind the largest news source on the planet might get a heads up about key developments every so often.
Yesterday, after having completely wiped his social media Twitter account clean recently, Matt Drudge posted his first message in months.
Its a simple message and very much to the point, but for those following the news of failing Ebola containment protocols its terrifying.
Maybe Matt Drudge has gotten word of something that were not yet aware of just yet.
Or, perhaps, like any concerned citizen watching the Centers for Disease control botch the handling of Ebola, he sees the writing on the wall. The virus, as has been the case in Africa, will continue to spread.
(snip)
Theres no telling how many people Vinson or Nina Pham (Patient #2) came into contact with while they were infected or where those people are now.
Given these latest developments, Matt Drudge may be right on target with his recommendation to self-quarantine.
But is it time to do that now?

I’d love to see Jon Stewart contract and then die of Ebola. It would be his only comedy bit in years.

That's where your other matter (defense) comes in.
Was out for a few hours. .looks as though it’s been busy.
Self-quarantine says Matt. ..huh. .
So it’s likely Ms. Vinson was contagious for at least the second flight. Not good.
"We cannot catch a break."
One of the most offensive comments I read here at FR.
“Drudge is a bit of a kook ...”
And Mac Slavo would be the very first one to run wild with Drudge’s musings. The guy never saw a sky that wasn’t falling.
Report it, don’t repeat it.
Please explain your post. I don’t know if you intended it to be as offensive as it sounds.
I'm going to try to find a link you'll enjoy...
Pandemic - Episode 109
“The world is under attack from terrorists with deadly nerve gas and a global pandemic that kills millions. Navy SEAL Cade Courtley will show you how to escape from a gas attack, create an isolation room, and defend your house against dangerous looters. “

This is a slightly less severe version of the one our district just sent to us in Austin a few minutes ago - also LISD (Leander). Given that my kids are reporting a number of classmates are traveling up to Dallas this week and next for sporting and other events, I think we could benefit from the stronger warning in the message you received - namely the description of the symptoms. I kinda feel like it might be a good idea to suspend interaction between schools for a while. That won’t go over too well with the sports enthusiasts, but, hey, neither will ebola. You can’t have it both ways.
Water
Food
Determination
Pastimes
Plenty of swap-out bedding
Clothing, clean...
A spouse could come in handy, but then you’d have to share some of this with them.
LOL
I know he does. If we get one thousand EBOLA cases and the resultant positive and false positives that go along with them, the very democrats who worshiped him will be demanding he be strung up.
Wait until this goes through one “Hood”. A few hundred just just about do it.
He may think he is untouchable. I don’t.
The Democrats are already roasting him.
And evidently the CDC guy doesn’t either.
It was a mistake to repeat it, thank you for pointing that out. I’ll remember that in the future.
Yes, it’s offensive.
But so aren’t the claims that “we” are withholding a cure from the black victims.
I hope they both recover. But, if the black nurse dies and the other is cured, what do you think the reaction to that will be.
The days of being PC are over. If you are so easily offended by the truth, I am truly sorry for you. If you are not willing to think of the potential outcomes, you will become a victim.

I don’t care what your excuse is, that remark was beyond the pale. Those young women were exceptionally brave. They deserve your respect if nothing else.
When I was a dental hygienist, occasionally a patient would cOme in with Hepatis C or some other contagious disease and I remember the fear. No one wanted to treat them, but these young women did much more.
I have been on FreeRepublic a long time and I know from personal experience that the site is monitored by the left for just such offensive comments as that one. Such comments make us all look bad. Sometimes the comments are intended to do just that.
I have nothing but the deepest respect for them. But the chances are better than even that they will die.
Those are the cold facts. It is possible to pray for their recovery, and yet prepare for the potential outcomes.
People are scared. It is not going to take much to get a lot of scared people to believe some stupid conspiracies.
If you don’t think there are people sitting in rooms somewhere right now “war gaming” that scenario you are naive. I used to get paid to anticipate bad outcomes and plan to mitigate them. Something the people in Dallas have clearly not done.
