The worlds leading news aggregator always stays on top of the most important stories in the world. With over a billion monthly visitors to his web site at DrudgeReport.com, its why thousands of media organizations follow his every post. Though seemingly a private person, there is no doubt that Matt Drudge has the inside scoop on many goings on in Washington and around the country. With contacts in high places, it stands to reason that the man behind the largest news source on the planet might get a heads up about key developments every so often.
Yesterday, after having completely wiped his social media Twitter account clean recently, Matt Drudge posted his first message in months.
Its a simple message and very much to the point, but for those following the news of failing Ebola containment protocols its terrifying.
Maybe Matt Drudge has gotten word of something that were not yet aware of just yet.
Or, perhaps, like any concerned citizen watching the Centers for Disease control botch the handling of Ebola, he sees the writing on the wall. The virus, as has been the case in Africa, will continue to spread.
(snip)
Theres no telling how many people Vinson or Nina Pham (Patient #2) came into contact with while they were infected or where those people are now.
Given these latest developments, Matt Drudge may be right on target with his recommendation to self-quarantine.
But is it time to do that now?

I posted that in all seriousness.
I don’t think it’s funny
Drudge is a bit of a kook ...
With our luck, the black woman will die, and the Viet woman will live.
We cannot catch a break.
I don’t think you understand how this works. You plan was OK, except that pretty soon after they get sick, you are not ambulatory. You are flat on your back, puking up on the ceiling, and crapping all over that walls.
well...you can guess what will happen to me next...
I think Drudge was referring to what the Texas health workers are being asked to do. A bit too cryptic, IMO.
“My personal nightmare is the thought of multiple ISIS suicide bombers crossing our southern border with backpacks containing thermos jugs of blood drained from West African Ebola casualties. Before these Jihadists greet their 72 virgins, they could easily contaminate millions of Americans by surreptitiously dribbling this contaminated blood while traveling on mass transportation in our major cities.”
DJ, I share your nightmare, but I have another one:
My nightmare is decimation of population (from your described nightmare) and foreign troops from China or Russia or South America invading in the guise of “helping” us.
Dear God
I’m not sure that will happen, but if I were to write the story, the last act would be to blow their body up in a crowded area, like a ball game.
Infected body parts would fly all over the crowd.
Well, since most of the people in the news these days don’t seem to know about quarantines and their usefulness in containing disease, it may very well be the best thing you can do at this point-self quarantine yourself.
There are all kinds of dangerous diseases circulating in the countries South of our Border and no doubt many will be coming over the border. Who knows what sort of incompetency will be demonstrated then?
Even though I had said many times, that most hospitals would not be up to this challenge, I have been stunned that the actual performance was worse than even I thought it would be.
Well, I was figuring on about three days, from being quite mobile while snotty, ill and infectious, to being immobile and incapacitatedly unable to spread their Ebola joy. Could cover a lot of territory. Or, an uninfected jihadist buddy/sidekick could cover the driving and transporting of said sickie, until he’s too done in, and then the newly infected buddy takes up where the other left off.
Or, somebody with a vial of fluids from an Ebola dude, leaving little drops here and there, as he travels along. Possibilities seem endless. And oh-so-easy.
Keep an eye on the nations truck drivers, that will tell volumes!
Yeah, that was it.
Cuban "Doctors".
There are Lefties on other sites that still lambaste W for not allowing Castro to send Cuban Doctors to New Orleans after Katrina. Because, you know, they just wanted to help.
That is GOOD!
Sha-yit.
I’d forgotten about that. Good point.
Dude! They let a full-blown known domestic case of Ebola sit in a family-occupied apartment for a few days, contaminating everything, before doing something sensible with him. His prolific vomit on the sidewalk was power-washed away by someone utterly unprotected, likely exposing others ("sandals lady") in the process. Removing him, they left the long-exposed family to self-quarantine with no supplies but with piles of contaminated everything. After they gave the directive a FU a few days later, they were whisked away - not to a hospital, but apparently to a luxury home and proceeded to meet with various unprotected people.
The next case, someone who was taking precautions but got it anyway from Patient Zero, was handle only marginally better.
What part of this isn't well into the "really screwed things up" realm? Only mitigating point is we haven't gotten far enough past the incubation period for assurance others won't arise and the disease subsequently explode. Never mind the other suspect cases accumulating, they also with no serious precautions being taken.
Oh, but the military is doing something about Ebola ... on another ****ing CONTINENT ...
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
