David Greco, cofounder and executive director of ARTE Inc., said Wednesday hes confident police will be able to identify the individual who vandalized one of the organizations Heroes & Icons posters at City Hall earlier this week.
The unidentified vandal scrawled the word asesino, the Spanish word for murderer, in black ink atop the shoulder of the Argentine Marxist-Leninist revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara.
Greco said a police report has been filed and City Hall security personnel are reviewing surveillance camera footage. The exhibit, which went up Sept. 22 to honor Hispanic History Month, includes approximately 40 posters depicting Latino historical figures.
Weve heard from a few people who complained about the Guevara poster, Greco said. But this exhibit is not just for heroes. Its also for icons.

One of my favorite Che t-shirts -- I really can't explain why, but I just really like it.

Good.
Hope someone took a bodacious Obama on it.
Then puked on it.
Che was so very much a liberal icon..he was slime, putresence, and filth.
Acutally, he’d make a great Harvard law grad, and could then run for the presidency.

Communism killed millions and all I got was a lousy t-shirt.

German History Month? I don’t think so, those folks were White and we know that only Blacks, Hispanics and Asians have history to be celebrated.

Hmm, Che bears a strong resemblance to a bathroom attendant in Delhi.
To: BillyBonebrake
Next time he needs to burn it. These liberal icons must be completely erased from civilization if we are to survive.
To: vladimir998
Took the words out of my mouth, that based on these criteria, we need to show Hitler for German history month.
I’ve never understood why Che Guevara has become a hero to the left and idiot college students and liberals. I often wonder if they know the history of this guy.
To: bert
So, making marks on a Che poster is vandalism while spray painting the walls of businesses is tagging and art.
You are correct. In this crazy world of ours, that’s how it works.
And, don’t forget, a crucifix in urine is also art. But any depiction of Mohammed is blasphemy. Go figure.

Ive never understood why Che Guevara has become a hero to the left and idiot college students and liberals.Because like Jim Morrison, "He's hot, He's sexy, and He's dead."
