Two recent polls released in Kentucky show the Senate race between incumbent Sen. Mitch McConnell and Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes tightening in the final month.
On Monday, a Bluegrass poll showed Grimes with a two-point advantage over McConnell, 46 to 44 percent. Those numbers are within the poll's margin of error, however they represent a positive swing for Democrats in recent weeks.
Over the weekend, a New York Times/CBS/Yougov poll showed McConnell holding a six-point lead over Grimes, 47 to 41 percent.
The race in Kentucky could determine control of the Senate as Republicans look to gain six seats to control the upper chamber.

I prefer a Sessions over a Kirk (who is a liberal on social issues but good on Defense) but Kirk is better than Obama because he will vote correctly on Defense.
Plus James said there's MORE to come!!!
Send a check to Veritas Project TODAY!!!!
Principle is of course not bad.
principle carried to excess can be and often is dangerous.
“I’ll take a liberal Repub over Obama any day so the GOP can control chairmanships....”
...And put more liberals in those positions while shutting out conservatives. Yea, we know. It’s why you do everything in your power here to promote Rinos.
LOSER! START THINKING!! We WILL remember you when the Harry Reid is again the Leader of the Senate...we WILL remember.
I wouldn't do that if I were you the only Democrat I would be voting for is whoever is running against Graham in South Carolina. The Dem cant possibly do as much damage to us as he is. Some times it is better to have someone pi$$ing on the tent outside(you can always water proof and zip it shut” than what is to have someone inside the tent pi$$ing every Way he can. But, not in Kentucky only in South Carolina.
One cannot be principled in the conservative sense and advocate leaving a guy in power that wants them destroyed. Unless those are Dem principles...which is to say, none at all.
OMG...I can not believe the shallow thinking here.
GO AFTER THEM WHEN THEY HAVE 60 or 65!! THEN CLEAN HOUSE!!
And we will remember you when the GOP passes amnesty,
the situation ethic is he’s going to vote for a VILE, EVIL DEMOCRAT in order to help MORE Vile, Evil DEMOCRATS DESTROY our country!!! Totally UNethical!!
good. at a minimum that keeps the GOPe in check until the election, forces mcconnell to promise to be more conservative for the lameduck and, who knows, he may even lose if enough conservatives write-in or stay home.
McConnell shit all over conservatives during the primaries. I’m not rewarding that behavior with a vote “for the greater GOP good”.
David Patterson is the Libertarian candidate on the ballot. He’ll get my vote.
Really? Removing a corrupt liberal minority leader and replacing them with a comparatively powerless freshman lib is unethical?
Seems like that advances conservatism because it provably takes the greater threat out of a position of power.
Why do you think Cruz is campaigning for Roberts? Because he knows conservatives will have more power in a GOP Senate than they do in one that's controlled by Reid.
I’d rather leave it blank than ever vote Democrat. That’s like aiding and abetting the enemy.
don't even write me back until you get up to snuff!!!
Reid up for re-election?
No?
Then he is not going anywhere. it’s up to the people of Nevada to “get rid of him”...
If Mitch makes it, and the GOPe gets control of the senate Reid will just pull Mitch’s strings and get him to do what he wants while blaming it on the republicans. If Mitch looses and they manage to take the senate anyways, it’ll be another Rino/GOPe person in control and Reid will pull that persons strings.
True.
The dichotomy is between corporate governance or statism. Any vote permitting a Democrat to win, by action or inaction, is now a vote for communism. Yes, Republican GOP-e is corporatism, but I will never vote communist, which now is the Democrat party.
And let me clarify. There’s no way if I were in Kentucky this year that I wouldn’t hold my nose and vote for McConnell.
The primary fight is over.
I’d rather have control of the Senate.
With that said, I do think the SUSA poll is an outlier. Mitch should win.
