The man who jumped the White House fence this month and sprinted through the front door made it much farther into the building than previously known, overpowering one Secret Service officer and running through much of the main floor, according to three people familiar with the incident.
An alarm box near the front entrance of the White House designed to alert guards to an intruder had been muted at what officers believed was a request of the usher’s office, said a Secret Service official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Call me skeptical, but I remember the woman who drove her car onto the lawn and had a baby in it. Wasn’t she shot with a thousand bullets? How come this guy was able to make it so far? If, in fact, this story is true.

Now, weigh that against what he could facilitate in 2.5 more years.

On the same subject, do you feel skeptical about the tale of someone ‘shooting out’ the windows at the White Hut?
I would think that building would be reinforced to the point of withstanding a plane flying into it ....
There is something ‘troubling’ with ANYONE having that kind of opportunity to get over the fence, cross the lawns, open a door and walk in.
Figure to ‘protect’ whomever is in the ‘Peoples House’ it costs us around a Billion Bucks (give or take) and these guys are hopping the fence, driving through the main gate etc. like THEY are living there.

Look, if we can arrive at a situation where we don’t have one fighter ready to defend our nation’s capital or New York city, then I guess we can be just as ignorant when it comes to the Pres__ent _resident and his safety.
If our largest city and it’s residents aren’t worth defending, our nation’s capital isn’t worth defending, then why should the White House be worth defending?

Yes, I do feel skeptical. I would also think the place was fortified, but then it hasn’t had a real make-over in a long time either. Perhaps it has been fortified, but I’m not sure it has.
I’ll tell you, if a guy got into the Reagan or Bush White House, I would be absolutely furious over it. Clinton and Obama, these men weren’t fit to serve there or any other public office for that matter.
With strange talk these days, it does occur to me that if a guy was able to go in and show an elevated level of threat, perhaps it would be used to justify making a broad spectrum of weapons illegal too.
One would expect Obama to capitalize on that if there is any way possible.

Millions of intruders jump the fence on our southern border and habitually make it all the way to the East Coast as well as the West Coast, the Canadian border and even Alaska. Now they are even making it into our military.
So, we are supposed to be shocked and impressed this intruder made it a few hundred feet past the White Hut fence and through the front door?
