NEW YORK (AP) -- Health officials are investigating nine cases of muscle weakness or paralysis in Colorado children and whether the culprit might be a virus causing severe respiratory illness across the country.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday sent doctors an alert about the polio-like cases and said the germ - enterovirus 68 - was detected in four out of eight of the sick children who had a certain medical test. The status of the ninth case is unclear.
The virus can cause paralysis but other germs can, too. Health officials don't know whether the virus caused any of the children's arm and leg weaknesses or whether it's just a germ they coincidentally picked up

Just a great grand mother who stopped vaccinating her kids when one went into convulsions for several days following her dpt. Then, later when finally arm-twisted into having her twins vaccinated with the lie that they wouldn’t be allowed to enter Kindergarten...BINGO! boy-twin came down with ALL THREE kinds of measels!
Several years later, my youngest whacked his head on a dumpster while horsing around at school and I did take him for a tetnus and told the DOCTOR that I didn’t do vaccinations.
He told me that I was a GOOD mother!
His nephew was permanently brain-damaged from a dpt shot.
Those “shots” have been loaded with mercury, aluminum and now the biggest share of them use fetal tissue.

Somehow, I just don’t see a loving God approving of grinding up aborted babies for “health care”.
Also, can you or anyone for that matter assure me of the purity and ingredients in those shots?

GBS usually brings on respiratory complications whereas Transverse Myelitis usually doesn't. Both have been around a while. My wife was hit with Transverse Myelitis 29 years ago and it left her being an incomplete quadriplegic. Onset was about 24 hours. The doctors in 1985 when it hit first though GBS but she showed no signs of respiratory difficulty.
There are several disorders in this virus family including Polio, GBS, and Transverse. Basically the body turns on itself in some cases destroying nerve sheaths.
Any source is possible. It could be Latin Americans, it could be our huge numbers of Chinese immigrants (who outnumber Latin Americans), both legal and illegal or it could be Middle Easterners (our second largest number of immigrants, who receive NO screening). But the fact that educated Americans are so opposed to things that would protect their children against common viral infections doesn’t bode well, and if something like Ebola gets here, I don’t think we’re going to do any better than they are doing in Liberia.
mass produced vaccines are not always our friends…Hillary made sure that there was no competition amongst vaccine producers in the early 90’s..but they are still..count ‘em 5 allowed vaccine producers now.
What I read was that these 9 children have had their polio vaccinations, so polio has been ruled out. If this is true, it’s doubtful that they just came from over the border.

In her case she let herself get very physically run down. This allowed a previously undetected exposure or very mild case of Polio to come back on her and is such called Transverse Myelitis. It attack the Myelin. She was born in 1950 so there was a real good chance she was exposed. She also had taken the Polio vaccines as a kid. That means blood work for Polio would not tell anything.
The Polio aspect came into play when the Physical Therapist were doing limb measurements. There was very significant differences pointing to Polio at some point in her life but not notable as such just by a visual exam.
Basically she had an auto-immune attack due to getting run down. This was happening before we married and she wasn't eating good and was a single mom raising kids alone due to abandonment by husband. These could be illegal entry kids with weakened immune systems or possibly carriers of virus kids here have little immunity too. Many things are possible.
I have a Public Health degree and once upon a time worked for the Immunization section of the Texas Department of Health... And I think your assertions for the most part are correct and it is a problem that people have been bringing upon themselves regardless of their social status. However, I notice a tone of resentment about the ‘Hispanic’ reaction... Well it can’t be avoided that most people of Mexico and Central America are Hispanic. Your tone and your attitude are misplaced because who the people are south of the border cannot be changed. They are often ignorant of the causes and spread of disease. Plus their governments do not care about anyone except the Elite of their various countries... and promote dumping a cost burden on to the U.S. You made a good point but why ruin it...

Exactly. I don’t expect the anti technology attitude to be prevalent on this site. It is generally a sniveling proggress liberal thing to screech about new technology, new drugs, new agriculture, and the list goes on. Every cause collects their donation money, usually headed by some libtard lawyer.

Obviously I don’t know anything about the health of these “children” who have come across the border, but my general impression is that people even in other countries get vaccinated against polio, etc.
Of course I could be wrong about that, but it seems that if children in Mexico, Guatemala, etc. weren’t getting vaccinated at lot of them would be getting polio and we’d be hearing about how dreadful that was and being told that something must be done!!!
Of course if the influx of foreign minors IS responsible for this outbreak we’ll never hear about it.
