The search area in the manhunt for accused cop-killer Eric Frein is narrowing amid a wave of "credible" tips, authorities said Monday. "I do believe we are close to him at this point," Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens said, confirming that search teams were focusing on an area in northern Monroe County near the border of Pike County.
Frein, 31, is accused of fatally shooting Cpl. Bryon Dickson and critically wounding Trooper Alex Douglass in a Sept. 12 ambush on the Blooming Grove barracks that landed him on the FBI's most-wanted list. Police believe he has been hiding out in the woods for 10 days, armed with at least one high-powered rifle, bent on assassinating law-enforcement officers as part of a longstanding grudge.
Some schools have been closed and local residents are afraid to leave their homes, even though investigators believe Frein is only gunning for cops. "The night of the incident...he had the opportunity to shoot civilians at the Blooming Grove barracks so it is our conclusion he is aimed totally at police officers," Gov. Tom Corbett said.

Funny how that works.
Funny, I was thinking the very same thing.
No trial, no jury, no evidence only the word of the leftist press and the guys who shoot puppies.
You can imagine what I think of you, none of which should be printed.
These massive manhunts always seem to take place after cops are killed (Frein; Dorner). It’s as if police as saying they’re more important than you.
Mr.Rudolph was safe and sound in Maine, for about 18 months. I believe he enjoyed his morning coffee with my dad on more than one occasion.
What if he is not guilty?
Sounds like they all need training in “zeroing” as 10 days seems a bit much to “zero” anything.
If the FBI, DHS or locals don’t kill him, I would suggest that he may have been part of one of the FBI sting operations. The FBI has been running stings lately but all they have come up with have been some lame Muslim retards which really won’t provide much of a bonus or promotion.
Now if they could infiltrate or create some right wing group, preferably Tea Party related or not, that could be a big catch for them. However, they are pretty sloppy about their stings which involve poor management (Whitey Bulger), illegal entrapment (Michigan) , or complete loss of control (Boston & Oklahoma City).
Then we don’t kill him for the crime he didn’t commit. But if he didn’t do it, why did he steal his father’s guns? That fact stacks against him.
That’s based only on what we know so far. I remember how it shockingly turned out Malvo and Mohammed over thirty people long before they started killing in the D.C. Area. For all we know there’s other activities of this man that we shockingly didn’t know about.
Oh come on now, if the press started that I stole my fathers guns, one or all of them, that would mean I was guilty of anything, including stealing his guns? You want to kill a man based upon what CNN has said?
I would love for you to articulate the 'facts' that stack up against him. For I have not seen or heard any. And then please tell me how these 'facts' make him or anyone proven guilty to the point of 'beyond a reasonable doubt'.
There’s this thing called due process. Please read the Bill of Rights. Stop embarrassing me to talk to someone who doesn’t understand this.
Second, from local news in Pennsylvania, on CBS. The bullets in the dead and wounded cops’ bodies match the .308 rifle stolen from his father’s home. Tha, combined with him running away from home are good enough to arrest him and try him for murder. In case you didn’t know, I wanted him alive, when the person I was responding to said kill him on the spot. I am not your problem. Even CNN and CBS tell the truth sometimes, you need to analyze what is being said.
Perhaps you need to be clearer in your post.
Fair enough. Conclusion: I want him alive, because if he is kept alive, it gives a chance for trial, and chance to prove how innocent or guilty he is. I don’t want to kill an innocent. I also don’t want a guilty guy getting off easy, which is probably exactly what this guy as a killer wants. A lot of the antigovernment people want to get killed by cops, because it fulfills their desire for self-fulfilling assumption that the NWO cabal is out to get them. Keep them alive, it makes it pretty questionable how right they are, and makes him a wierdo to most people considering that they won’t give what he expects. That’s probably why the PA authorities want this guy taken alive too.
