The House Select Committee on Benghazi hears testimony from Homeland Security and Secret Service officials on the implementation of the Accountability Boards recommendations following the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi.

State Department whistleblowers have come forward with stories of harassment, demotions and politicized cover-ups. They fear their professional credibility will be forever tarnished by twisted half-truths conjured up by corrupt foreign service officials and say they are fearful that their families will also be targeted for scrutiny and financial penalties.
Any idea why it’ll be 6 weeks until the next hearing?
Ping me if you’re wrong. I don’t have time to watch BS theater.
Congress goes home again in preparations for elections.
Sullivan relating the work of the Best Practices Committee, which was created as a recommendation from the ARB.
40 Recommendations in 12 different areas(wow—that’s three or four per area!)
What is left unsaid is why this was even needed in the first place with such an illustrious and smart leader at State like Hillary Clinton.
Sometimes the WORST whinners are us freepers. Give this time
Seems to be premature to bail out on this during the opening statements. I think Gowdy’s opening round of questions will be more telling as to how this is going to go.

Mrs. Brooks:
Thousands of attacks since 1984.
[ Actually, it began when Nixon was sneered at, in
Venezuela. ]
Over and over. Since, thousands of attacks.
Many of the attacks by rockets, firebombs.
[No mention how many were from Islamic terrorist or Iran.]
Obola’s America cannot even name its enemy
(except Tea Party and veterans).
Given Maxwell’s bombshell, maybe that’s a good thing. They can open the next hearing with ‘how compromised were the ARB’s findings in light of HRC’s withholding critical details, shredding unflattering documents’?
Also that cummings pimp can’t go around screaming that the hearings are to influence the elections.
Boxing in the previous BS
I doubt there will be any Fireworks today.
Did I hear Cummings say that he had suggested this topic to Gowdy for the first public hearing?
‘Can Republican screw this up?’ ‘Oh My God, Yes’
Cummings thanked his D colleague Adam Schiff for suggesting this topic.
Gowdy is very strategic-keep that in mind. He would not have agreed to it without careful thought.
I thought this committee was to get to the heart of what actually happened at Benghazi.
All they are gumming about is “What do we do now?”
Not what I was expecting.
I don’t know, but based on Gowdy’s past performance, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s going to let Cummings have his way in certain areas, with the strategy that superficial cooperation (even capitulation) is fine, and may even have some PR value, but it doesn’t matter what topic gets the attention at any given point because there’s plenty of ammo to be used on them on whatever battlefield they may choose.
I know I’m stuck with the FOX spasmodic coverage, as DISH doesn’t provide CSpan-3. Makes me grateful for this thread’s ongoing coverage.
Adm. Mod., Thanks very much for this thread and sidebar!
Thanks for the identification.
For those that haven’t seen it, there was a post on FR discussing Cheryl’s cover-up of various Hillary’s “events”. I either hadn’t seen these before or totally forgot about them.
