Sen. Rand Paul said President Barack Obama made “one important point ” in his remarks on Wednesday saying that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant was neither Islamic nor a state, but questioned the constitutionality of the president’s strategy.
“Ultimately, civilized Islam will have to step up. We need to do everything we can to protect ourselves, I’m all in for saying we have to combat ISIS,” Paul said Wednesday on “Hannity.” “So I think it is important not only for the American public but for the world and for the Islamic world to point out that this is not a true form of Islam, this is an abhorrent form.”

Rand Paul continues to expose himself as the biggest ass-clown the Repubs have had since, well since his father was around.
He should go on a tour with Mr. Obama of Muslim outreach and ecumenicalism. Maybe take Al Gore and his Westboro Baptist Church buddies, too.

I once thought that Rand Paul was OK. Seems like every time he has opened his mouth recently, he has showed himself to be a fool.

The appropriate rephrasing of this should be that “Until ‘moderate Muslims’ are at the forefront of fighting this evil, they are condoning it, or worse, approving of it. So until they are at the forefront, they cannot be considered ‘moderate’.”
The only way the “peaceful muslims” will ever step up is by the West inflicting so much collateral damage on muslims that the “peaceful” ones overthrow the jihadists in order to save their own asses.
