Want robots at McDonald's? Hike minimum wage: Zell Matthew J. Belvedere | @Matt_Belvedere Wednesday, 3 Sep 2014

Federal and state efforts to increase the minimum wage are misguided and pose serious risks to the economy and the job market, billionaire Sam Zell told CNBC on Wednesday.
"The tinkering with the minimum wage is a very dangerous game," the chairman of Equity Group Investments said in a "Squawk Box" interview. "You start talking about a $13 or a $15 minimum wage, and you're going to have robots that are operating McDonald's."

Hope they force this issue, it will become a very teachable moment.
Yep. Robots and with the illegals even more unemployed for us to pay for. Damn Democrats.
Has anyone done a study on the correlation of our current employment condition and the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007?
Can't teach somebody that doesn't want to learn.
Reminds me of the song ... Dust Bowl Children.
That’s what’s going to happen. I was in one of the northeast “Express” minimarts attached to a gas station and was shocked to meet - not a robot - but a machine in which I paid for my newspaper. Shocked and disturbed! Well, I’m used to people. Anyway, it’s obviously the future for $15 an hour workers.
$15 burger flippers aren’t going to last long in a world with these:

There are already robots working at McDonalds. How about we get some that actusally work and can get an order right?
It would be for anyone except the Free Sh*t Army. They never learn from their mistakes, they just blame someone else for their failure.
Same with the knockout game, same with gun control, same with everything. The left is notorious for doubling down on their failures.
If it was ever true that conservative is a liberal who got mugged, it no longer is. The mugging isn’t the point, for them. It’s what they can do with it to advance the agenda. If nothing, it goes down the memory hole.
I think this is because the issue du jour is never really the issue, that’s why they they have a never-ending supply of issues to use for their real goal-wealth redistribution and reparations-by-another-name.
Fast food workers are getting 12 to 15 dollars an hour in Williston North Dakota without a union. (Rent runs from $2200 to 3 grand a month (2 bedroom apt.), but that’s beside the point).
We don’t have them in the west, but on a recent trip to Pennsylvania the place to get sub sandwiches was Wawa.
You ordered you food from a kiosk. It worked quite well actually...
At least I could understand the robots and they wouldn’t spit in my food.
At least a robot would center the cheese, special sauce and other items instead of loading it up on one side.
The robot won’t spit in yo honkey-ass sammich like Jesse Jackson said he used to do. And it might even be programmed to say “please” and “thank you” for a change.
I don’t really do McDonalds but absolutely love their sausage and egg mcmuffins. When they are on sale I buy a whole bunch and freeze them. There is a McDonalds right down the street from us that I won’t go to anymore. Noone, and I mean no one, there speaks English well enough that I can understand them. I got tired of saying what? What did you say and then just driving on up to the window and hoping they got the order right.
Robots would be a huge improvement.
My local supermarket has a few of those self checkout stations. These checkouts appeared after the unionized employees started making outrageous demands. The store demonstrated to its employees that they can be easily replaced. Haven’t heard too much noise from the union since.
If these twits do get their $15 an hour, you can be sure automation will become very attractive to business owners. Whoever makes these vending machines and robots will be really cleaning up.
This is also about taxes. Min wage @ $7.50phr leaves a balance owed of $170.00 single no deductions for the year.$15.00phr no deductions leaves a balance of $2114.00 for the year! State income taxes will also leave a mark. In all that is said and done the Government has figured out a way to have the consumer fund another $1944.00 of Fed taxes per min wage employee across the US. This is based on 2013 taxes. This not to slight the American Worker but the Admin has found a way to make them a tool for taxes and not the compassion everyone thinks it is. Compromise @ $10.00 and feel lucky!
These people never heard of Horn and Hardot a restaurant chain where all food was put in serving windows where you put your money in and opened the small glass and took your food.
McDonald can come up with their own version in a couple of Months.
net result, More people on welfare..It will really stop all the B.S.
