“NATO should tell Putin we will take Moscow in two months.... “

Better just send humanitarian aid to Siberian separatists...

But I thought Russia had nothing to do with it, that it was a spontaneous uprising of Russian-speaking separatists?

</sarcasm>

If Ukraine was smart, it would issue rifles to every citizen, and begin training all of them how to use them. Russia could invade, and occupy, but they would know that they would be picked off in appalling numbers as time went on. It’s a strategy that has worked well for the Swiss, and also causes America’s foes to fear the price of invasion.

'If I Want, I Will Take Kiev in Two Weeks', Putin Warns EU's Barroso

Oh yeah? Well don't even think of trying anything like that, buddy boy, because if you do, Obama will express deep concern!

NATO would have to take Moscow before October 1st. The Russian winter counts for at least 30 divisions.

NATO? Are you joking?

NATO is two armies - Germany and the US. Germany’s interests align perfectly with Putin, and the Americans are busy with transgender integration.

How do you fantasize about a drive to Moscow unfolding?

This is why nuclear proliferation will never work again. The US has shown time and time again that it will not invade “rogue” states with a nuclear capability. The Russians are the same way. Since, the Ukrainians stupidly gave up their nukes for a security promise that is not worth the paper it is written on, the Russians have no worries about invading them.

He wouldn’t be saying this, if he was convinced that the day he took Kiev, that Volgograd, Belgorod, and Rostov-on-Don would become rubble. Every President from Eisenhower to Bush 43, with the exception of Carter, could have said this privately and would have been believed, because the Russians understood that they may play chess, but Americans play poker, and we’re willing to push the stakes as high as they need to go to make the other guy fold. The present administration, not so much. Thank you, Neville Chamberlain.

He probably could. We took Baghdad in about that time. But can he hold it?

...and according to people ON THIS SITE, if we give the Ukrainians some left-over firecrackers, they’ll march right up to the gates of Moscow.

LOL.

“NATO should tell Putin we will take Moscow in two months...”

Not a bad idea, get him laughing so hard that he forgets about Ukraine. First coherent strategy for dealing with the US/Russia mismatch that I’ve heard.

Obama’s strategy of provocative weakness that is encouraging Russia on it's Ukrainian adventure is having a very dangerous effect.

During the Clinton Administration the United States executed defense treaty with the Ukraine would surrender it's nuclear weapons arsenal to the US and in return would guarantee to defend the Ukraine from Russian aggression.

In the event Russia escalates it's invasion of of the Ukraine the United States will be forced to intervene directly.

This is the price we will pay for Obama’s feckless foreign policy and it could lead to WWIII

Won’t happen with Obama. What Putin is basically saying is that we give a sh*t to the United States, the only remaining super power since you have a doormat of a president.
