Thus, the continued value of an American education in journalism for Chinese journalists.

Chinese journalists also had to pass a new ideology exam to keep their press cards.

I wonder if they just duplicated the US exam.

I’m sure this is being added to every Journalism School’s curriculum as we sit & type!

Chinese journalists need to take a field trip to Manhattan and visit the New York Times if they want a lesson in Marxist news values.

So tell them to watch more CNN and MSNBC.

I have long wondered just how Communist the People’s Republic of China really is. Even though the PRC has embraced free enterprise and allowed the people more freedom, the ruling party still calls itself the Communist Party, the flag uses Communist iconography, etc. Maybe it’s a lot more Communist than most of us realize.

Sounds like an endorsement of US college J-schools.

Xi's politically conservative agenda.

So, the MSM is now saying that if you are a Marxist, you are a Conservative?

Don’t the Chinese simply need to tune to MSNBC and provide a translator?

Maoism is dead in China. The current rulers of China have accepted completely the Kuomintang ideology of Chaing. They just will not say so publicly, but their actions speak otherwise. The economy will still be organized on a market basis. The political system will remain totalitarian and the cultural system will remain Han Chinese nationalistic to the extreme. This was the vision Chiang Kai Shek had for the county. If Maoism still ruled, the country would have a GDP less than South Korea. In the competition between countries, we can only hope that China reverts back to Maoism.

If they need to brush up on Marxist values they should just consult with our media.
