Maoism is dead in China. The current rulers of China have accepted completely the Kuomintang ideology of Chaing. They just will not say so publicly, but their actions speak otherwise. The economy will still be organized on a market basis. The political system will remain totalitarian and the cultural system will remain Han Chinese nationalistic to the extreme. This was the vision Chiang Kai Shek had for the county. If Maoism still ruled, the country would have a GDP less than South Korea. In the competition between countries, we can only hope that China reverts back to Maoism.
An interesting insight. The reasons for not advertising the adoption of an oligarchical system would appear obvious.
