Southern California cornerback Josh Shaw has admitted to lying to school officials about how he sprained his ankles last weekend, retracting his story about jumping off a balcony to save his drowning nephew.
Shaw has been suspended indefinitely from all of the Trojans' team activities, the school announced in a statement Wednesday.

So it looks as though the Ferguson audio may be FAKE. And now....another verified HOAX.
Hey, remember when the media FACT CHECKED things?
Now, the media only tells the stories that FIT THEIR MOLD...whether they are true or not....Only in a rare case like this do they feel compelled to say the truth.

No big deal.
Cut Josh some slack.
The highest office holder in the nation is a serial liar.
Lighten up on Josh.

Did he make up the story to explain the injury, or did he fake the injury and make up the story to get positive attention? (The article doesn’t say.)

He should have told them he was having sex with his boyfriend. He would have been invited on TV shows.

Glad to see that football players are held to a higher standard than presidents. This country has fallen so far particularly since the days of Clinton that it causes my head to spin.

The school notes Shaw has retained legal counsel. Oh criminy, here it comes.
Is the school being "racist", because they don't want a dumb, injured, lying jock on the team?

When a black person says something, it should be taken as the gospel truth...or else you’re a racist.

RE: "Hey, remember when the media FACT CHECKED things?"
I think the term "flak chuckers" is an apt name for the MSM "fact checkers" and promoters of the Lefts' lies.
In fact, the aged 1960s Left and their ideological litters are what Tom Wolfe wrote about in "Radical Chic & Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers."
The flak chuckers protect the Left.

Right.
How can we continue to have a moral nation with the example set by the highest office holders in the land?
As has been mentioned for centuries, freedom doesn't work unless the people are essentially good.
The drive to socialism and having dishonest crooks in government go hand-in-hand in more ways than one.

Once he came up with the story about rescuing someone drowning in a pool, he faced the uncomfortable problem of having to produce the person he allegedly rescued. Getting the second person involved made everything more complicated.
He should have learned a lesson from the Major League Baseball player a few years ago who injured his shoulder during the off-season. He reported to the team that he fell down the stairs at his house. The suspicion -- based on stories from his neighbors -- was that he crashed while doing wheelies on a motorcycle in their suburban neighborhood. If he had been injured in a motorcycle accident then his contract would have been voided, so he had to make up another story. I don't remember how that one ended. LOL.

C'mon. USC football players would NEVER commit a crime.

Yes perhaps Mr. Shaw should have blamed it on the dog. At least the dog can't talk. I swear when I heard the story, in my head I was thinking sounds like a burglary gone wrong. Call me cynical.

It’s hard to make a successful landing from a balcony when your arms are full of (other’s) “stuff” and you just can’t get your balance just right for that landing!

I read somewhere that he was being investigated for burglary. Perhaps that is why he retained a lawyer.
