AP article. Had to keep it brief.

Who does that last paragraph remind you of? Wesley Mouch perhaps?

He also compares "White Castle sliders" (his words) with Burger King. How nutty is that?

What an absolute idiot.

Any senator with half a brain cell might say something like let’s make our corporate income tax rate competitive with the rest of the world.

Ideally, it would be best to abolish it all together.

Perfectly legal and sensible choice.

BK is accountable to shareholders.
They are saving 14% of their profits by making a great choice.

The US will only wake up when it feels the pain of capital outflows.

One may ask just how much this little ‘endorsement’ may have cost Wendys?

I am glad to see that the ‘Lawmakers?’ are working on the ‘hard stuff’.

Next thing some fools will get mad at the French and rename fries.

And they wonder why some folks pay absolutely no attention to these slugs, too bad they don’t carry their animosity to the voting booth.

Warren Buffett is a piece of crap.

Wasn't he advocating for a new min tax for top wage earners recently?

Thats really good satire. I made it to the part where Brown called for a global minimum tax rate ...

Wait, what do you mean that WASN’T satire????

Oh well. I prefer Wendy’s over Burger King too. But I see a lot of Whoppers in my future. Of course this will probably help BK recover market share from the whole Rainbow Pride Whopper campaign ...

Dem sleazebag Sherrod Brown can put a sock in it.

How about leading an effort that would make American businesses want to stay here? That concept is beyond a democrat’s intellectual grasp.

Libs are amazing. Rather than look at the reasons for tax inversions and how to prevent them (i.e. cut the tax rate), they just double down on their losing ideas.

Ironic that he's worried about taxes when he (Brown) took thousand of dollars from American Electric Power who (according to wikipedia) was spending

$28.85 million on lobbying[42] and not paying any taxes during 2008-2010, instead getting $545 million in tax rebates, despite making a profit of $5.9 billion, laying off 2,600 workers since 2008, and increasing executive pay by 30% to $23.7 million in 2010 for its top five executives

Wendy’s is headquartered in Columbus and likely shovels lots of campaign cash his way.

Particularly since Dave Thomas died, the company went bankrupt, and was acquired by the former Arby’s, a company well known for donating to Democrats.

A Democrat opposes Burger King? Haven’t eaten there in months, but maybe it is time for a sandwich.

The governor of Ohio on 1974 to 1981 was the biggest investor in Wendy’ ( which are the worst burgers I’ve never eaten). He was a Dem so no wonder Brown is sticking up for the chain. They get a LOT of money. Bravo! Burger le Rois!

The current Forbes declares White Castle to be a failing enterprise.

Regarding the boycott, I would suspect the people that eat at Burger King have no clue about the merger and it’s effects

It takes a Democrat to ignore a serious tax issue and then seek to punish human nature.

The two brands will continue to be run as stand-alone chains,

That’s too bad, I was kind of looking forward to
a flame broiled beef patty between two tasty doughnuts...
