The Justice Department has begun an open criminal investigation into the killing of photojournalist James Foley, Attorney General Eric Holder said on Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference in Washington to announce a $17 billion settlement with Bank of America, the attorney general was asked about Foley. The Justice Department is actively pursuing justice in this case. We have an open criminal investigation, Holder said, adding later that the department will vigorously proceed with the probe.

Have you sent an FBI team to the ME yet?
Start at Syria and then wind your way through Iraq or wherever your quest takes you.
Take McCain as your local guide.
That will go nowhere. Holder has yet to do anything except to warm the chair in his office.
The trial comes after the lynching. Don’t you know anything about the Black KKK?
Pray America wakes up

Who’s pocket will the $17 billion end up in ?
They are still investigating that. Look for charges to be filed in Oct to keep this hate-whitey-fest going for the election

But two people with ties to the case report they’ve recently been in touch with the department or the FBI, the legmen sometimes used by the DOJ.
One is Frank Taaffe, a former friend of George Zimmerman’s. The Neighborhood Watch volunteer killed Trayvon, an unarmed black 17-year-old, in Sanford on Feb. 26, 2012.
Taaffe was interviewed last month by two DOJ civil-rights attorneys and an FBI agent in Maitland, he said, and they’ve asked for another interview this week.
He can tell Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi he's 'the man'.
Is this a f’ng joke? Why would racist Holder think that the US AG office should investigate a terriorist killing of someone in a foreign country. .....This entire Obama administration is just all about spending money on trips and projects that lack rational justification, while ignoring real problems in America that should be addressed.
I wonder if it is their part of their effort to reclassify terrorism as a criminal issue.
” This is the epitome of weakness, which is exactly what ISIS wants its troops to believe about us.”
Hell, WE believe that about us.
They will say it was self-inflicted..............
One of my favorite movies is "Law Abiding Citizen": It's not what you know. It's what you can prove in court.
And when the DOJ finds out that the cop was not at fault and the ‘gentle giant’ was - somehow they’ll make it that the cop provoked the incident.
Exactly. What is the AG doing investigating a murder in a foreign country?
Seems more like a State Department/Military response is appropriate.
I think you may be missing the point. The entire point of Holder/DoJ investigating is to distract from the extensive littany of Obama's failures in the remaining months up to the 2014 mid-term elections.
Truth is, Holder "investigating" ISIS beheading an American Journalist really shines a spotlight on Obama's complete and total failure in Foreign Policy and the pursuit of those who seek to harm this country directly.
Why, an enterprising young Conservative running for office somewhere in this country would use that in a commercial against his Democrat Obama-enabling rival!
This is what we get for electing lawyers to the presidency. They see everything as a legal problem. The have no Executive experience, so they screw up the operations of The Executive Branch. They have no military experience, so they screw up military operations.
Lawyers are taught how to argue, so that’s what we have with Obama. He likes to argue. He’s comfortable doing that. Managing and leading? He has no experience or training for those.
I hadn’t thought about the “distraction” factor. Thanks.
This administration seems to seek every very slight opportunity to distract from whatever is important.
Could we get the results of the Zimmerman civil rights investigation from 2 1/2 years ago first or are you not releasing the results because your base won’t like them?
