THE KELLY FILE': GENERAL JACK KEANE SAYS THERE WAS NO REASON TO RELEASE INFORMATION ON THE FAILED FOLEY RESCUE MISSION:
I think its a matter of principle Megan, we really shouldnt talk about these operations and certainly an operation like this, theres no reason to disclose it, at a deference to Mr. Foleys family I probably would have told that family what we attempted to do at least and give them some comfort that somebody did try to rescue him.
But even going back to the Bin Laden raid, which was obviously successful, the amount of information that was released after that infuriated the Secretary of Defense. I know if our Special Operatives were here, they dont want these things talked about; they dont want them out in the media. What will happen now because we disclosed the event is journalists will pursue sources to get more information about the details of that event and that is what the Special Operatives dont want out there.

When I first heard of this I thought that(in all likelihood)Obongo had”Hemmed and Hawed”for too long before OKing it>Now I’m Convinced that’s EXACTLY what happened!!!!!!!!!!!!
More CYA manure from zero and his handlers.
At least with Carter it was a real mission....This mission only happened in the minds of Obama and Valerie.
I agree. This was simply fabricated in an attempt to convince people that Mullah Baraq is engaged.
No one else, eh? Troubling unless you have to classify your own information.
Summary Answer:
Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences."
There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
There was evidence that Carter, however bungling, made an attempt at a rescue. Other than a statement released by this lying administration, what evidence is there that there was an attempt to rescue Foley? B.S.
“O” loves to grandstand... it takes the place of personal and actual achievement for him.
In this case ... he wants to appear as having been PRO ACTIVE in a situation that did not succeed but nevertheless, he tried to do SOMETHING!
Oi veh... I can’t wait for this idiot and his shabby theatrical BS to be GONE!
THE FAILED FOLEY RESCUE MISSION.
Yeah, and I just won a beauty contest yesterday.
That’s what I think, too.
My question is: Why a secret mission to save this one guy? There have been many individual westerners kidnapped and executed over the years by these Islamic vermin and did we hear of military assets being used to attempt to rescue them? Pundits arguing over the wisdom of divulging this fantasy ‘secret’ operation is just another distraction.
I too can’t see any reason for releasing this information. It makes him and the US look weak. It doesn’t make him look active and strong.
He’s claimed to channel influences from Lincoln, FDR, and Kennedy. Now he’s channeling Carter?
As far as I'm concerned, this is just another soebarkah lie. I never saw enough to convince me, not least of which was the bastard's body. And then an unusually large bunch of operators who were supposedly on this mission were killed in a helicopter shoot-down. I'm not buying it.
And NOW we're supposed to accept that President Votes Present is suddenly all blood n' guts decisive?
Bingo. Their statement was vague. We always have operatives gathering intelligence etc in these countries. Could be they did some investigation into hostage locations. Or maybe not. Who knows? They lie about everything
No one but Obama would attempt to GAIN from releasing information about a FAILED rescue attempt.
I'd assume they already knew and it was either (1) planted info to flush out an informer or (2) the hostages were moved before the rescue
What I find deeply disturbing is the US has been arming, financing, and training "friendly rebels" even while it was ISIS that was benefitting. If the gov knew where hostages might have been, I'd assume our sources knew what a threat ISIS is.
Could the hostages have been saved if the US had allied with Assad instead of still trying to topple his government? Were the hostages captured and guarded with US weapons?
How bad can our government get?
Nope. This was another intentional poke in the eye to the military from The Commander In Chief.
At least Carter respects life. And he didn't spend all of his time fund raising and playing golf during crises.
