Police in Ferguson released a video tape allegedly showing slain teen Michael Brown robbing a store even though the Justice Department warned that doing so could inflame racial tensions, CNN is reporting.
Snip
Despite holding off Thursday, Ferguson police still decided to release the tape Friday over the Justice Department's objections, according to CNN.

I hope all the militarized cops out there remember what the feds are trying to do to one of their own. This ain’t some neighborhood watchman. This is a real cop. Maybe it will open their eyes as to who the real enemy is.
Since the police officer has been driven into hiding with his family.....
I sure would like to have the state of Missouri UNSEAL the Juvenile record of Michael “Big Mike” Brown.
I don’t think he is the choir boy all the family & protestors are claiming.
The video of his strong arm robbery of the liquor store tells me he has been a bully all of his life.
From what I read that was a different person with the same name that lived something like 60 miles away.
As far as can be determined the Mike Brown in Ferguson had no criminal record of any kind.
Interesting isn’t obama going to DC tomorrow to do a special announcement? Whatever it is will probably take this off the front page for him.
IMHO the FPD released the video tapes to prevent things from getting worse. Not sure why they waited so long - they should have released it Wednesday morning.
Any rate, that video has taken a lot of the wind out of the sails belonging to those who were trying turn a common robbery - police shooting into something else. My list of people trying to exploit this includes the Justice Department and its FBI based on Holder’s comments and nothing more.
I am wondering how the highway patrol Captain Johnson is feeling, see this video of the crime Big Mike did?
There also has to be more questioning of the other perp in the robbery-—who claimed to be the only witness to the shooting. He hardly has clean hands & an objective viewpoint.
So it is ok for everyone to proclaim what a “good” boy he is when they have no idea of his background, yet when proof is shown that they are wrong, that is “character assassination”.
Seems if you can put sainthood on a person, others should be able to demonstrate how they are wrong.
Its time for previous behavior to be admissible evidence as to the likelihood that one could perpetrate a crime.
Ok, thanks. Never believe first reports from the combat zone, is the old saw...
Yep, blame the police, don't blame the ferals.
"Police may have made the situation even worse when they revealed later Friday that the officer who killed Brown did not even know he was a robbery suspect a detail that suggests the convenience-store tape isn't relevant to the shooting."
Yep, blame the police officer, not his assailant.
17 per day murdered nation-wide, and 15 of those by fellow Blacks
It should have REDUCED tensions as it demonstrated the punk was a criminal thug. Still doesn’t mean the cop necessarily did the right thing. Separate matter. But it does prove that this was not an innocent kid as they were suggesting and was a violent thug.
“a video tape showing stain teen Michael Brown robbing a store”
Fixed it.
“The city is 67% black but only three members of the 53-member police force there are African-American.”
They found three non-felons able to pass the tests to get on the force? Good for them!
Handing out military equipment doesnt militarize the police if the police arent trained to use it as a military force.
Which Army base are local cops militarized at?
Because you take away the military equipment the cops would still use the same tactics.
This militarizing of police is a red herring until you can tell me which military base all local cops are indoctrinated & trained at to be a military army.
Is this the same Federal Government that also objects to releasing any information on Obozo’s past?
Holder particularly and its already evident they have their spin doctors on the scene. Some sources say Wilson knew about the robbery; others didn’t. Some are taking things out of context or jumping to biased conclusions that are tunnel vision as long as it fits the narrative they want to push. If Wilson knew about the burglary or of one at any point before the confrontation or didn’t it changes the men’s rea of the officer and the meaning but not the outcome of the shooting...
And if Eric Holder's team thought it was the wrong thing to do, then I am certain it was the right thing to do.
If Zero and his cohorts don’t want you to do something I would say that the sensible thing is to go ahead and do it.
