Hi
I’m partial to Gregorian chant.
According to the quiz, I am in my musical 60s.
My school is so old it only has one room. :)
And I’m in my musical 60s, probably because it can’t get any older.
Question 1 asks for opinions on seven groups and composers, five of whom I wouldn’t listen to on a bet. That narrows down the field :)
The music you love never goes out of style - it's classic. You tend to only listen to the very best. Your taste in music may be mainstream at this point in your life, but that's a good thing. You can make a playlist that everyone loves. You tend to stick with artists you know these days, but if you find a new artist that you do like, you know it right away. Your favorite music is creative, moody, and subtle. You don't need a song to overwhelm you in order to appreciate it.
I am in my musical 70s. I didn’t even know who most of the ones listed, were.
I still prefer the music of when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s. Hank Williams to The Beatles. Roy Orbison was just plain good.

For you, there is little better than a talented singer-songwriter. And you always listen to the lyrics for every song. You are open to today's music as long as it comes from a genuine place. You don't like mass marketed music. You believe that every artist needs a strong voice. Generic music doesn't appeal to you at all! |
Hi Everybody!
((((HUGS))))
I like everything from Tibetan Buddhist monk Chanting to Gypsy Love songs, to Kazakh Riding Songs, To Gregorian Chant, to Russian Orthodox Church Music, to Delta Blues, to Euro-Trash techno, to new Wave punk, to heavy metal, to Beethoven, to Chinese opera, to Wagner, to Led Zeppelin, to Frank Zappa, to Smooth Jazz, To beBop, To The Duke, To Classic Rock, to The Dead.
I’ll go take the test now. LOL.

They listed the current entertainers. I have heard them. I have kids and younger friends. I realized how untalented they are compared to artists of a few years ago.
Recently I heard Judy Collins sing Someday Soon. There are no singers today with her talent. I heard a CD of Stevie Ray Vaughn. No one can play guitar that well today. There is no one around today as good as there was before.

Read: Acts 6:1-10
During the August heat of 1891, R. G. Dyrenforth arrived in Midland, Texas, determined to blast rain from the sky. Known as a concussionist, he and his team launched and detonated huge balloons filled with explosive gases, fired cannons, and exploded piles of dynamite on the groundshaking both earth and sky. Some believed he made it rain a little, but most said all he caused was noise. The explosive power was impressive but ineffective.
When the early church needed overseers, they sought people with a different kind of power. They chose seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom (Acts 6:3) to manage the daily distribution of food. One of those was Stephen, a man full of faith and power, [who] did great wonders and signs among the people (v.8). When disputes arose, those who argued with Stephen were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke (v.10).
The Bible makes it clear that Stephens spiritual effectiveness came from being filled with the Holy Spirit, who gave him the right balance of faith, wisdom, and power.
Gods Spirit in our lives today replaces the loud noise of self-interest with His gentle, life-giving rain.

Musical 40s
Evening, folks. If the 60s technically extended into the early 70s, then, yep, I am a 60s person (though I was a kid then).
I hate most of the stuff that’s out now.
According to survey, I am in my “musical 50’s”.
Sidebar: I had never even heard of most of the multiple choice answers. Who the heck are these people/groups? I rule this quiz null and void....no country, no bluegrass, no blues choices etc!!
