Its hard to believe that its been 35 years since this smash-hit frathouse comedy was first released. Amazingly enough, Animal House only received mixed reviews when it came outthough both Time magazine and Roger Ebert named it one of the best movies of 1978. Critics didnt really matter, though, since the film grossed well over $100 million, making it the third-biggest of the year, behind only Grease and Superman.

No mention of Director Jon Landis, or the three people he killed.
For that matter, whatever happened to the cast of Porky’s? Did any of them ever continue in movies?.................
Where are they now?
I’m here
My good friend Big George died this week. Pedab and Dewey both died.
The rest of us have our annual meeting on September 20
Stork committed suicide by jumping off a cliff on the big island of Hawaii.
Like Caddyshack from 1980...timeless.
Amazing how many of today’s teenagers know these movies well.

35 yrs later, a whole bunch of those fat, drunk & stupid students live in momma’s basement & voted Obama!
Still one of the funniest movies of all time and holds up well over all the years unlike many classic comedies from the 40’s and 50’s that leave me scratching my head “That was supposed to be funny?”
Remember when movies like this, Caddyshack and the Blues Brothers made us want to see movies with SNL actors in them?
Now we get The Ladies Man, McGruber and Superstar. Of course when the show is no longer funny why should we expect the actors in it to make funny movies.
He wrote the screenplay, so in a sense they were all his lines
True. He was a huge part of National Lampoon Magazine.
Agreed, one of the funniest movies of all time.
No mention of Director Jon Landis, or the three people he killed.
I think his crew made movies as an excuse to party excessively....
A lot of people died from those excesses as well...
Lord I miss John Candy.
And no mention of this?
Note the bass player with Otis Day and the Knights.....That's Robert Cray.
