Still one of the funniest movies of all time and holds up well over all the years unlike many classic comedies from the 40’s and 50’s that leave me scratching my head “That was supposed to be funny?”
Remember when movies like this, Caddyshack and the Blues Brothers made us want to see movies with SNL actors in them?
Now we get The Ladies Man, McGruber and Superstar. Of course when the show is no longer funny why should we expect the actors in it to make funny movies.
Agreed, one of the funniest movies of all time.
I have not seen SNL for at least 20 years.
I still chuckle at “It’s a dessert topping! No, it’s a floor wax!” And Placenta Helper.
One my all-time favorite comedies, along with The Blues Brothers.
The scene with Dorfman and Neidermeyer’s horse, in the Dean’s office, still brings on a choking fit of laughter with me.
My son (20) and his friends love this movie. They also like “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” as well.
In its early years SNL was NOT missed. Sat was a late date with a view of the TV. Then it was funny! It’s been years since and a few weeks ago a show was watched. Awful!! When did NBC add that grotesque laugh track? And the sketches themselves were not the least bit humorous. For either side of the isle. With the first players out of the game, the game should have been called. Will not make the mistake of watching that again!
Bridesmaids was funny.
Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Kristin Wieg are funny.
