It's highly unlikely we're alone in the universe, NASA experts are saying, and we may be close to finding alien life. In fact, it may happen in the next two decades.
NASA held a panel discussion at the agency's Washington headquarters on Monday, where space experts talked about the search for Earth-like planets that host life. Based on recent advancements in space telescope technology, scientists estimated that in the coming decades we'll confirm suspicions that we're not alone.
"I think in the next 20 years we will find out we are not alone in the universe," NASA astronomer Kevin Hand said in footage filmed at the discussion and posted on YouTube.
NASA Administrator Charles Bolden echoed Hand's sentiment.
"It's highly improbable in the limitless vastness of the universe that we humans stand alone," he said.

What evidence do you have that we aren't the most advanced intelligent species in this galaxy?
The scary part is that we could be the most advanced.

In 1950 we had not discovered any planets around other stars. Now we can see some of them.
Do we actually “see” them? They have had to backtrack on some of these I think as they were suppositions from signatures that proved not to be so-as far as they now know.
I’m with theBuckwheat, they need this to be so to prove their God-less theories.
What evidence do we have that we’re the only life in this galaxy? Have we visited every star system and scanned them for life? Do we know with absolute certainty?
Bingo.
I'm as curious as the next person about the answer, but at this point my suspicion is that Fermi was right.

Maybe it'll be life that can be converted to Islam.
...or so someone would like us to believe...william cooper had much to say on this...what next...false flag outer space invasion...

Id guess aliens dont consider us worth the effort to contact because were so primitive.....
Primitive but tasty.
I hope there is intelegent life out there, there’s none here.
It is also highly unlikely that we will encounter recognizable life in both time and space in the next billion years much less twenty years.
We don't have proof, but we really, really feel it's true!
It might be so, but I'd like to see some of that "science" stuff come into play, like "proof'.
Thanks for all the Fish...we’re going home.
Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy.
Possibly, but it may be so far away that humanity will never meet it in the lifetime of our species.
They not only seek grants, but something else - the same something that the grantORS want -
some sort of “proof” that “it” happened here by accident. That there isn’t a Creator to which we will be held accountable.
That “proof”, to the grantors, is invaluable.
It not only frees them from eternal and completely objective judgement outside of their own rules,
but it grants them the status of god, being able to SET the rules as to how or if you should live.
In 1950 it was tacitly assumed that stars had planets. Tacit assumptions is pretty much all this NASA story is.
There are people who study these sorts of things who believe certain powerful people and entities, the proverbial “they,” have a plan to fool the world using some sort of alien revelation. They believe people have been conditioned to accept such a revelation and that we are nearing the time for the big reveal. They believe it will appear as real as your own hand and most of the world will be fooled. There are various theories as to how this might be accomplished. I have no idea if such a plan really exists. I simply know some smart people believe it does. Some believe it’s all a lie designed to unite the world under a single entity or leader (could he be the final antichrist?). Others believe “they” have themselves been fooled into believing in these aliens and that’s why various political figures have demanded UFO records opened and high-ranking Catholics have debated the idea of baptizing aliens in recent years.
My own suspicion is that we are alone in the physical universe and that if something along these lines occurs it will be demonic or satanic in nature. Perhaps it will be a part of a final end times scenario. Perhaps they will “arrive” with tales of how we were really created, directly contradicting the Word of God. Regardless of any such claims, I urge one and all to trust the Bible, specifically the Jesus Christ of the Bible, more than you trust your own lying eyes or the other-worldly claims of aliens, political leaders, media, scientists, and even major religious leaders. We should remember that “the heavens attest to HIS glory.”
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
