Wholesale retailer Costco announced Tuesday evening that they have reversed a decision to remove conservative filmmaker Dinesh DSouzas bestselling book from stores, following an outcry from thousands of angry customers.
Costco is not a book store. Our book shelf space is very limited, a statement posted on Facebook said. We exercise discipline in the best utilization of that limited space based solely on what our members are buying. We cant carry every title that our members are interested in reading. We are constantly monitoring book sales, and make decisions to pull books off the shelves frequently based on sales volume to make room for other titles. Politics or controversy over content do not influence our decisions.

I wonder if they still have tons of Hillary’s book. Hillary’s book is dropping fast on the best seller charts. Any Freepers who can observe if Costco still has stacks of Hillary’s books for sale?
Dumped my COST at a small loss on market opening yesterday.
We are stronger than we know and they are more terrified than we thought.
They’re too late - they’ve already revealed themselves. But then, who needs a six-pack of Cheerio’s???
Amazon has Hillery at 781 this am with a three out of five star rating.
I’ve read a lot of comments on the Costco and Sam’s Club Facebook page over the past 24 hours and there is an exodus from Costco by tons of people that are starting new memberships over at Sam’s Club. I wonder why there is literally no mention of BJ’s Wholesale Club as around here there are just as successful as Sam’s Club. Any reason why Sam’s is the go to place in spite of Costco?
Good, but they’re still bastards.
Isn’t it funny how cockroaches and RATs run for cover when the light is shinned on them?
OMG, I bet Hillary’s book is now far behind that book about doing a green colon cleansing to cleanse your body..........
I imagine it’s because a lot of people are in the same boat I am. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of BJ’s. We don’t have them around here.
BJ’s I heave heard of but never seen..
I think they are more regional. Sams is nation wide.
I never understood why actors and retail stores get involved with politics. No matter what side you choose, you will always lose half your customers.
I’ve never understood either. Part of it might be that anyone weighing in will get favorable media coverage, because the media magnifies liberal positions and liberal thought?
But on the other hand, anyone weighing in on the conservative side of an issue will be attacked and ridiculed in that same media????
What’s a BJ’s?
COSTCO= “Censoring Only Serious Teaparty Conservatives’ Offerings”
I don’t own Costco stock (COST) but if I did I’d be selling it and possibly shorting it.
Yeah - that is why they have piles of books that are like the 15,001 best seller on Amaazon.
The truth is they thought they could sneak this in under the wire but got caught.
They are reversing the decision because of negative publicity - not because they are changing their NAZI-like view point.
I heard this on the radio just as I pulled into Costco yesterday morning. But I went in anyway to get what I was after. So I went by the book section just to see. A sure enough “America” was missing but the entire endcap was stacked high and 4 deep with Hitldebeast’s lie packed, CYOA tome. When I left I went around the corner to Sam’s and bought a copy of “America” there. It will be a good while before I return to Costco.
