RUSH: This is Ann and Ed in Southern California. Welcome. It's great to have you on the phone. Hello.
ANN: Hello.
RUSH: Hi.
ANN: Hi, Rush. How are you?
RUSH: Just fine. Thank you very much.
ANN: Great. Well, we have some interesting news. My husband Eddie is on the phone with us. We live in Southern California, and we're Catholic, active Catholics in our community, and there was a town hall meeting last evening, emergency meeting called by our local parish priest, ordered by our bishop (unintelligible) and the Archdiocese of San Bernardino. They have made the decision that they're going to absorb the immigrants that are coming through because the federal government called the bishop's office on Monday and they're gonna be busing these immigrants to our communities and asking us to open our homes and to house them for up to a month. The church will reimburse us for any out-of-pocket expenses and we were told not to talk to anybody about it, especially the media. I'm not especially happy about it. My husband is a retired doctor, and he will share his concerns with you regarding this matter. Eddie, do you want to go ahead and talk about your thoughts?

Rush had it so right when he said this is not an
emergency to them in Washington!!!
So it needs to be made an emergency.
Any freepers with their trucking/buses (lice)nses?
Anyone coming to America needs the tour of Washington,
the Smithsonian/The Holicaust Museum, the school
where the Presidents daughters are etc...
You have to evict someone who is domiciled in your home, that is my understanding.
Rush Limbaugh has never heard of fema camps?
Really? None that I know. There are self-indulgent exceptions, but the ones I knowand it's a big numberlive in a small room, own nothing, don't eat enough to keep me going, get up early, say their breviary, meet with parishioners with problems, hear confessions, meet with parish groups and charities, say Mass, go to bed early, and do it over again the next day. With a smile. How many do you know?
true, but they still want to work within the system, they have still bought the premise. So I’ll grant you - not as sheepish as some, but still sheeple IMO.
Something about them set off Rush’s BS meter.
It almost seemed like a set-up....Ed kept lamenting that there wasn’t enough coordination between agencies, etc...gee I wonder if Obama’s multi-billion dollar request would help ‘coordinate’ the agencies better.
And they kept using the term ‘FEMA Camp’...and ole Ed started talking about Ebola - and Rush challenged him on that.
The whole call seemed misguided and hyperbolic - would a Diocese really ask their parish to ‘not talk to the media’...and if they did, would they really expect the big secret to not be exposed instantly.
I think they were baiting Rush, and he did a good job of not biting.
“If you have a 2nd home thats unoccupied, you better get someone in it before the democrats do it for you.”
BUMP! How RIGHT you are, CC! Why be successful? Why work? Why bother?
(Thank you God, for giving me a moral compass, a working brain, the will to succeed and FIGHT for what is RIGHTFULLY MINE, despite those that wish me ill!)
Huh?
bkmk
Dr Zhivago is a tragic beautifully filmed classic
Listened to Rush today, but must have missed this caller. I don’t doubt that it is possible, but I’m also highly suspicious of possible BS callers calling conservative talk shows and either trying to instigate comments that the liberal media can latch on to, or are just “seminar callers” as Rush calls them. These are crazy times and crazy people say crazy things. We must remember to “trust, but verify”. While it is the Church’s mission to advocate and take care of those in need, I highly doubt the Church is willing to take on the liability of ordering or requiring parishioners to house illegal immigrants. They may ask, cajole, guilt, etc., etc., but require, no. I could be totally wrong, but like I said, these are strange times and we have to stand strong but seek the truth and not just go on with what a caller to a talk show says. Even if it is Rush’s show. There is definitely a strategy in place to break the system, but we have to be vigilant to hype and BS, too.
The bit where he comes home and theres a family in every room of the house...
He says “Yes this is fairer”
that is what I thought I read in the transcript
btw set off my bs meter too
yep
their whole world got turned upside down in a hurry
ain’t communism grand?
You are right about them trying to bait Rush ,and Ed did not sound like a physician to me. The Ebola point was weird. The reason why Ebola is spreading in Africa is because of their burial practices, and their fear of sorcery from medical professionals. If he had used TB as a primary example, I would have given him more credence. He did not sound intelligent enough to be a physician. I think Rush handled them well.
That is what they did in Cuba when Castro took over.
and why did they bother to call Rush if they had already bent over..
I'd go a step further.
If they aren't stopped, they'll be partitioning off your house into communal apartments.
See also Mao's China.
You are correct about Ed. Usually when somebody with a medical background speaks on the radio, he can’t help but intersperse some medical jargon into the conversation. Nothing that came out of Ed’s mouth sounded ‘clinical’ at all...and Ebola isn’t from South America at all
